  1. Its the most sensible thing to do I've read some of the earlier posts were people have said they have to gig and need the money but on the other hand they know the covid risk is very high no gig for a few quid is worth the risk to anyone I've not earned any money for 12 months so I understand how they feel but it's to risky to put lives at risk Sorry if I have offend anyone it's not my intention just my personal view
  2. Don't use the fixings that come with the hangers I go overkill and use 7mm rawlplugs and the screws that come with them or whatever decent plugs and screw brands you like will do but don't go cheap it's a recipe for disaster
  3. Think I will get an amp hopefully in the last throws of 2021 and maybe some picks but plan to sell instead of buy in 2022 as I don't need anything
  4. Also peace sells by Megadeth great playing on the whole album and one of metals most iconic basslines on the title track
  5. Great minds just posted that myself Timmy C plays like a demon on that album his best work imo
  6. I like a couple of nirvana songs but I really think the whole grunge genre was really overrated I always remember the metal heads and grungers always scrapping obviously metal always won 😊
  7. Hopefully I'll be all snuggled up in bed snoring away 😊
  8. I've been thinking of buying a new amp but this might be just the ticket cheers lozz
  9. A few bc regulars will be looking at this and firing off a couple of pop shots at the screen the dirty buggers lol Glwts
  10. What about something hartke I always view hartke amps as fairly clean amps so would imagine they would cut through nicely but I'm no expert on such things and will be watching this thread as I fancy a change from my ashdown head even though its a great unit
  11. Microfibre cloth Dunlop lemon oil when needed Dunlop 65 polish And fast fret for strings
  12. I think it's got a lot to do with the tension on the neck as well as the width But could just be one of those things as you can get identical basses but yet they sound quite different maybe it's the wood or parts for the electrics etc I don't really know to be honest
  13. In Squier mustang bass Fender mustang bass Strings and plectrums And some decent pots to make wiring looms And a Kent armstrong pj set Out Aria bass Several pedals and more to follow as I've decided I'm not really a pedal guy And a few bits and bobs I've given away
  14. Gonna get shot down in flames for this but I think my most underrated gear is a plectrum as I wouldn't be able to play without one as my hands are buggered 😩
  15. After more thinking I agree with other posters about not reshaping the body or headstock but whatever you do good luck with it
  16. If its a keeper bass and the mods are what you want go for it 😊
  17. Might I throw a noise gate into the mix I recently started using a bass with single coil pickups and the hum was doing my head in so cheap noise gate and problem solved
