    I like a couple of nirvana songs but I really think the whole grunge genre was really overrated I always remember the metal heads and grungers always scrapping obviously metal always won 😊

    What about something hartke I always view hartke amps as fairly clean amps so would imagine they would cut through nicely but I'm no expert on such things and will be watching this thread as I fancy a change from my ashdown head even though its a great unit

    I think it's got a lot to do with the tension on the neck as well as the width But could just be one of those things as you can get identical basses but yet they sound quite different maybe it's the wood or parts for the electrics etc I don't really know to be honest

    In Squier mustang bass Fender mustang bass Strings and plectrums And some decent pots to make wiring looms And a Kent armstrong pj set Out Aria bass Several pedals and more to follow as I've decided I'm not really a pedal guy And a few bits and bobs I've given away

    Gonna get shot down in flames for this but I think my most underrated gear is a plectrum as I wouldn't be able to play without one as my hands are buggered 😩

    After more thinking I agree with other posters about not reshaping the body or headstock but whatever you do good luck with it

    Might I throw a noise gate into the mix I recently started using a bass with single coil pickups and the hum was doing my head in so cheap noise gate and problem solved

    Only the active ones Another great choice are kent armstrong pickups passive and noise cancelling and sound great imo
