  6. Emg pickups are your friend here active or passive doesn't really matter if your running a preamp personality I would go with active pickups

  8. Got a set of emg pickups on order for my Mustang bass and my question is can I cut the emg quick connection cables and solder to a normal 3 way toggle switch or do I need to buy the correct emg quick connect switch thanks in advance

  10. Very good advice I've done a few ibanez repairs and it's either been a dry joint on the board or a knackered pot but I reckon your pot should be OK as they generally just don't die without prior symptoms
  11. Not very helpful but I wouldn't go poking about without a wiring diagram might be worth checking the solder joints on the main board they can be a problem
  12. I do not gig but I think no matter what instruments we play we try to find fault in something so we can justify buying a new piece of gear at least I do 😮

Apart from the squier mustang mentioned earlier I've bought some kent armstrong pickups for one of my pj mustang basses which I love now on a mission for a set of dimarzio dp126 to go into another mustang I got in a trade recently I used to really dislike dimarzio pups but I think they will be perfect for the mustang

  16. I think dragonfire pickups are made in Korea by artec so may be worth looking at artecs website to see if they have wiring-diagrams that help
  17. For sale I have a pj set of pickups taken from my Mexican Mustang bass they are as new and have a full length of wire and will I would like £32 posted via tracked courier uk only Pics to follow
