1. So are they some kind of scammers? is that what you mean?
 2. I know but from where I come from a Jack and Danny means something else so the name puts me off for starters lol
 3.
I'm trying to post an ad for a few sets of brand new but very slightly used strings in the "Other Musically-Related Items" section and when I hit "post" it keeps telling me to state a price , despite the fact that I have already stated my incredibly reasonable price both in the heading and in the text itself. Am I doing something wrong , or is this just another example of how I am being unfairly victimised by Basschat because of my outspoken views on Victor Wooten?
Maybe you will just have to give them away for free could that be why you cant put a price? and who is this Victor bloke is there some conspiracy going on I don't know about lol
 4. Bassdoc he usually has loads of spares so I am told
 5.
Fairly sure I saw this sell on eBay...
Doubt it Kev you know that people always put sold on there items or gone if they are unavailable (god I am sarcastic) lol
 6. That reverse headstock threw me for a min lol cracking bass mate GLWTS
 7.
different tunings, different strings?
Must be everything else looks the same
 8.
+1 on looking at the bass - either quirks with wood, screws or other construction could be to blame. Correctly installed neck screws shouldn't work loose by themselves - definately not those using threaded inserts.
All I can think of is that the neck inserts were forced into a hole hat was to small and split the wood or the hole was to big they should never come lose if fitted properly
 9.
Having been glued to the Bear Straps page for the last couple of hours, my wife remembered my approaching birthday and put 2 and 2 together!
So you will be getting a pair of slippers or a jumper then lol

 13.
I've just purchased a nice silver series sunburst p bass and I wanted to give it a light relic look, does anyone know what the body wood is? I'm guessing the answer is 'basswood' but it feels so light! I just wondered if anyone would have an insight as to how it would relic? I would just like to dull the gloss finish with some minor sanding like a road worn, any help would be greatly appreciated. Dodge
Nooooo Dont relic it I don't know what is all the rage at present with all this relicing/roadworn look but IMHO it just makes a good guitar look S**T (runs for cover)
 14.
Its mine Markus:-)
Did you buy this one then Col? if you did good on ya you lucky sod
 15.
Blimey! All this criticism because a band sounds like other bands from the past. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Siouxsie as well. There seems to be a big thing about funk on Basschat, and yet almost all the funk bands that people rave about sound like music from the 70s. There's nothing wrong with some young people taking from the past, they have something to say lyrically about the current, they have what seems to me to be a real fire in their bellies. Never mind, I like them.
I agree I like music from the past decades in fact alot of the stuff I like I did not ever get to see as I was too young at the time and some of the music I like was from decades before I was even born....maybe a lot of todays up and coming bands like other eras and it is great to see them paying a tribute so some good music and bands that half of today's generation had not even heard of before one of today's band covered the original song so it is kind of keeping the music alive I guess? And paying tribute to the artists or bands that motivated them.
 16.
Take this spiky bass whilst you can! He is trying to buy them all
I am suprised this spiky shiny bass is still around thought it would of been snapped up as they are so rare....well I have never seen another one
 17. In fairness you are only paying to use the service to advertise goods just like you do on ebay or Gumtree or whatever and there rules have to be obeyed whether we like them or not so why should it be any different for basschat?
 18.
Cheers guys Fascinating to hear it sounds 'ravey'
Ravey was the best way I could think to describe it

 21.
These are what you're looking for...
This is the solution there is no way they can work lose from the wood if fitted correctly and level as they tap a new thread I have used these before with fantastic results and they also give the bass or guitar better sustain. I would say that if you had problems with them coming loose they were not installed correctly
 22. I have never heard of that brand it looks a bit 80's to me but yeah nice wood grain
