Was just wondering what websites you guys liked to use? I only really use basschat ebay wikipedia gumtree Amazon and other sites if I want to look some information up or if I am really bored I just type random things in to Google and see what comes up lol
-
I also think some people like to try something a bit different and then realise they just do not get on with it and sell it on without making a huge loss on here.

What about a little baby Ampeg think it is the BA series they are light and very easy to pull along on a cheap little trolley and should be loud enough for any audition or rehearsal I have also heard good things about the Roland cube but have never used one -
If there was time yes but if it was a number that did not fit with the style of music you play or a real obscure tune that most people would not know or enjoy then I would not bother myself

I myself have started using Fender strap locks and am quite happy with them.......but only time will tell how good they are

My son is 10 and he wants to learn guitar/or bass now I have showed him a few bits on bass but now he has his mind on guitar and believe it or not the school he goes to does not teach guitar of any form or drums all they seem to want to teach is the violin or brass instruments so looks like he will have to go for private lessons I think where you are in the country has alot to do with what schools teach when we lived in Essex the schools really did a lot of musical related stuff but here in the sticks lol it is a struggle to unless you pay for private lessons which can be very expensive. I have seen some of the musical workshops that run in some places around the country they look really good and could be the way forward? I also do not think kids need a bass icon such as Flea or Jaco or whoever to get them interested but perhaps I am wrong.

Please help me choose what to sell in a hurry
Thunderbird replied to BassTractor's topic in General Discussion
Sorry to hear of your bad news. I tend to agree with most others sell the lot and replace it when you can at the end of the day they are all fairly available and easy to replace and personally I think the Squiers and MM basses will sell the easiest. Hope things work out for you -
If you watch yourself play, or pretty much anyone, most people tend to play over a pickup. This prevents you digging in too much during faster passages. Having a ramp between the pickups, or over any other area of exposed body enables the same thing. It just smooths out your playing, there's a tendency when not playing over something for the finger tips to get more attack, and accent the notes. Obviously sometimes this is something that you want, so in that case a ramp may get in the way, without modifying your technique anyway If I'm playing jazz for example, I like to play closer to the neck for a warmer sound.
Lovely very well explained cheers mate
You're going to struggle to find anything for £30 in all likelihood. There is a bass in east yorkshire on Gumtree for £70 here: http://www.gumtree.c...itar/1039555613 Yamaha's are fantastic basses, even the cheap ones, so would be an ideal cheap bass if you can save some pennies.
This is very true but all is not lost you can sometimes pick up cheap necks or a broken bass on ebay for a few quid but in reality £30 wont get you much you could also save a bit more and get a used Peavey Milestone or an Aria STB for about 50 quid if you look around

So is the only purpose for a ramp is to anchor your thumb any where between the PUPs or does it serve another purpose also? I just wondered as ramps seem to be getting more common place now.
Very nice.......itching for another myself
Me too but I am running out of room lol

And that
Hope nobody minds but i've changed the price as lots of people have been messaging me saying I'm ripping myself off with this one.
And that is why basschat is a cool place cos most people on here are real diamonds who make it the kind of community it is and should be
