genuine aguilar gs 112 padded cover in perfect condition....could well fit db 112 as cover has a little wiggle room
don't come up for sale that often
£35 plus postage
great cabs (i have a pair) really nice tone and louder than the db rating suggests!!.....had berg ht ex 112 combo and prefer the aggies sound wise
get some pics up and have a bump on me.
laney have built some great gear but somehow have never really cought on!.....this imho is a shame
celestion neos,ply construction,great sound.....whats not to like.
yes,the world is your lobster....for me .....markbass two or three and a 112 or 210 aggie or berg....i have a berg hs 210 which is quite compact though not that
light(50 lbs) but worth it for the sound.
i have always liked peavey gear....i owned a megabass head and megabox cab (115bw/208)..great little rig!...then later used a databass 450w combo(again a great little amp)
i'm hoping with this new range peavey have found their feet again!.....can't wait to try a mega mini....are these chinese made?...anyway..big thumbs up
looking at the graph,it seems to me the delta 12lf is, for the price, a cracking driver! (a recommended replacement for aggie cab). All this begs the question are we expecting too much from the humble 12 inch driver?
i too am looking forward to this!....just for info...I swapped the 12 inch driver in my aguilar gs 112 for a eminence 3012 ho kappalite expecting good results!!....
all i can say is,i was unhappy with the sound(yes i know the stock driver is 4.8 xmax and 95db......3012 6.2 xmax and 100.5 db)...i found it only a small
amount louder than stock driver.....sound wise,it did not mesh well with tweeter and crossover...too aggressive in the mids and the bottom end not that
good.....3012 now back in the box!....returned cab back to standard and sounds great!.....i think correct cab design plays a large part .it seems the lesser
deltalite 2 might have been a better option(looking on talkbass)
regards....mark
if you want to know more about jim cairns......ask howard(the bass doc)....jim used to make a fair few necks when howard was
building basses, also jim used to make rather good pickups!
