  1. Cracking cabs!.. I found them nicer tonally than the berg 112s
  2. I would not part with my littlemark 2...easy to use, good tone variation, plenty loud enough and fits in a laptop bag!..i much prefer it to the genz streamliner 900 i used to own, and i find it just as powerful, if not more so!
  3. nice bass!....what weight is it?
  4. I'am with sibob here, I had a streamliner 900...bought without trying it!.warm sound, yes! but that's where it ended. I went to a little mark 2, and found it suits me better as it has a better eq and is just as loud(if not louder)than the genz..must be bigger watts!
  5. Hefty....yes, but what an amp...REAL WATTS!
  6. cheers guys
  7. I would appreciate opinions on the aguilar obp 1 on board preamp, comparing to the likes of sadowsky circuit and others. thankyou.
  8. I've seen inside a peavey 410 and believe me, these are well constructed cabs having ample bracing and acoustic felt...bass player mag did a 410 shootout and peavey 410 tx did really well, and this was up against eden and swr!!
  9. Tried both the rear ported, and front ported markbass cabs, and to my ears, the front ported cabs sound better. For me, this goes for most other makes as well.
  10. How many pounds!.....lol
  11. This pickup is the eb mm style ie...no lugs!..it is alnico...mint as never been fitted to bass....ideally I would rather trade for 4 string version..nordy etc in same condition.
  12. Thanks for the information, assuming, as you say, the wood and build is excellent, it is no bad thing.
  13. Just wondering, does Nino(Anthony Valenti) make his own necks and bodies for his wonderful basses?....or does he use outside suppliers as per early sadowsky basses...warmoth I think, and build them kit form.
  14. Absolute bargain, these are well built cabs and the black widow is a cracking driver, well ahead of its time! come on reggae fans!
  15. pm,s replied to....just to mention, bass is circa 2000
  16. Hi, up for grabs is my musicman stingray 4 string bass. The bass is finished in honey- burst with a cream Scratchplate and the bass is in excellent condition. It has a powerful, versatile tone, the midrange control I think is well voiced and usable. It comes with a musicman hard case......The bass has a nice action and weight-wise it comes in at 9.5 lbs on my bathroom scales.... not really looking at trades......I am happy to post if you arrange courier (I have a UPS depot nearby and would be happy to drop off). 17. A nice second hand markbass 2....plenty loud enough, good tone, in fact mine seems as loud as the genzbenz streamliner 900 I used to own.
  18. How are the controls configured?
  19. Friend of mine had the PF 500 and that kept cutting out...plenty loud enough though possibly that issue has been fixed...who knows?
  20. Try stacking your cabs end on and cut your bass control to 10-11 o'clock cabs will be a little higher which may help!
  21. separate amp and cabs all the way for me....small cab for acoustic type stuff and larger cab for big stuff....(simples) m6 carbine a mega amp and would quite like one myself!
  22. Even though I use a markbass 2, which I am very happy with! If you DI you would be better off with the mark 3 because it has the DI level control. Cracking amps, and very pokey....I would not part with mine. In all, a good choice...IMHO.
  23. I do believe bag end use eminence drivers....amongst others-made to their spec I assume!
