  1. I think the sterling range are very good!...and many seem to be lighter than the us range. they got a great review in bgm!
  2. As the title suggests, the driver is in need of a recone, when you press down on the cone, rubbing can be heard I am sure either aguilar or eminence will do a recone kit suitable for this!....a quality driver with cast chassis and 56 ounce magnet structure. Pick-up only.

  4. I have a pair of emg jvx pickups which i intend installing in my bass collection jz (jazz clone) i would like to replace the single tone control with the bts or bqc system! I know the bts will fit in the cavity no probs, but the bqc has a larger circuit board attached to one of the pots!...I would rather fit the bqc system, but will it fit? The pots are four in line with fender spacing between each pot(no bell plate) pots fitted from behind in control cavity....( jack input on body edge). I get the feeling it may have to be the bts for space reasons, but if anybody knows different??
  5. lovely bass, and top bloke....buy with confidence!
  6. I used to own this bass, even with the wider neck i never had problems, and my hands aren't very big! very nice bass with a nice growl to the tone!...punchy B string as well.
  7. Lovely bass this is, and a total bargain!!
  8. I would love a barefaced supertwin but in the back of my mind i would worry about it being built out of 9mm plywood....not that i have heard of any failures!
  9. great cabs!....two of those will not be found wanting!
  10. Yes, it is that very bass, and in the words of David Dickenson....It's a bobby dazzler!

  14. How about the tried and tested littlemark 2/3....more than enough welly, indeed as loud as a streamliner 900 i owned briefly, and you could pick one up at a good price!
  15. Well, i have just got a bass collection jz, a very nice mid 90s jazz clone, at the moment, the bass is sporting bartolini jazz pickups and wired passive (bass was active when new) I have bought some nordstrand NJ4 SV pickups....split coil hum cancelling. I am not bothered about sweepable mids, just bass and treble will do! looking at the sadowsky pre, but expensive......any ideas?
  16. Great little amps!...mine is going nowhere, as loud as the streamliner 900 i owned!..which"went the journey" nice lakland by the way!
  17. I think this is a great idea! you could eq the 15 combo to deal with the lower frequency and eq the 210 for mid and above....a basic bi-amp system if you like and better than just adding a 210 cab!!
  18. nordstrand nj4 se along with sadowsky onboard pre-amp.....flexible and quiet!....do you really need a mid sweep??
