  1. hi folks, i would like to scale down my existing 115 which is a custom build! the cab is fitted with a faital pro pr 400 which i like. I intend buying another pr 400 and use cabs in a pair for larger gigs. the cabs that interest me are the bag end s15d , markbass ny 115 and new mesa 115 and just wondered if anyone has some info the design, plans etc. you can see the basic size of cab i'm looking at. I do know there will be a steep roll off on the low end, but i never really liked wooly sub bass and much prefer a good lower mid push. ps....the cab will be tweeter-less
  2. the benefit would be a sweeter top end from the compression tweeter and a little more low end.
  3. I just use a laptop bag for my littlemark 2...fits well. granted, not the ultimate protection, but suits me
  4. For sale, is my 4u rack case, currently housing my markbass sd 800(which is 2u) has 2u blanking plate should you need to use it. going to take my amp out and use a bag to carry! rack in good condition, make is chandler.
  5. yamaha sy 85 synth, excellent condition!.....still considered one of the better synths made. some great usable sounds. downloaded manual and a few disks.
  6. Seems to be a distinct lack of extra length strings available for my trusty 79 stingray What do you recommend? Standard long scale used to fit, but alas, no more!
  7. I have a trace ah 130 head as a back up amp, and very good it is too, considering its modest power rating, it is fairly loud and punchy. I also use the smx compressor pedal which is great, having seperate high and low compression.
  8. a longer scale length is recommended...ie....35/36....having said that, my status shark 5 has a fairly tight punchy B string (125 gauge),and the bass has a 34inch scale!!!...indeed, i have played basses with a 35 scale and they too have the floppy B. work that one out.
  9. does this have a truss rod?
  10. thinking of possibly pulling the trigger on one of these!...i like the burgandy mist. has anyone tried one? whats it like compared with a fender? l like the quality hardware and graphite reinforced neck, they seem well made! are there any other basses at this price point that will better this one? cheers
  11. it depends on the music you play as to what bass is required, be it 4,5 and 6 string, having said that, a 4 string covers most!.
  12. I take it the neck plate is three bolt with a working micro-tilt?
  13. the kappalite is a superb driver, but i would be inclined to buy a cheaper eminence ceramic 200-250w .... far cheaper and will still sound good. the cab design will not be optimised for the kappalite!

  15. replacement original aguilar speaker driver....i bought this after discovering the speaker in my DB 112 had been replaced with a non standard 12!...never got round to fitting it, and no longer have the cab, speaker boxed and willing to ship if buyer sorts courier. 8 ohms
  16. stunning power amp!...i,m sure Jim Bergantino recommended these... praise indeed!!
  17. nice bass!....what weight is it?
  18. Sold a pair of berg cabs to Geoff, top geezer and a pleasure to deal with.
  19. I have tried both and find the front ported HF, far better tone wise than the HR. seems to throw the sound better, slightly more volume. lower mids nicer. in short, i would put up with the size and weight penelty for a better sound
  20. i agree with mykesbass!
  21. Up for grabs are my pair of bergantino hs 210s complete with berg covers these cabs are in superb condition.... no dents in the grills carpet covering in top condition(no rips or tears) new plastic corners fitted(like for like)so no new holes made. hs means high sensitivity!..meaning, they can be driven to good levels with smaller amps. plenty of info on talkbass about these cabs....will try to get some pics soon.
  22. got the atk 300, and again, a very good bass.
  23. cool bass, what does it weigh in at?
