  1. Up for grabs, is my yamaha trb 5, bass plays really well!...nice action and great tone...very usable eq ! bass in excellent condition and looks great in amber burst , comes with fitted yamaha case. Being 35 inch scale gives a nice punchy B string!...possible trades 5 or 6 string ...pm me!!.......will ship at cost (uk) further price drop!!!
  2. bump....and yes, i should clean that moss off my patio lol
  3. I did own a blx 130 combo!...reasonable bottom end for a combo that size...all that mdf=heavy....very little midrange. I took the amp section out of mine and had it racked...great little amp though.
  4. around the 15-18lbs mark i would say, comparing it with my basses!
  5. yes, does look cool !.....started life in the blx 130 combo...was heavy and i wasn't keen on the sound, so took the amp section out and had it semi-racked and found it far better using seperate cabs.
  6. For sale is my trace elliot GP7 SM 130...as you can see by the pics, is in great condition,. don't let the modest power rating fool you!....this is a pokey amp!.....big trace watts will ship at buyers expense.
  7. the orange 115 is indeed a ev 606 design varient, that and the early mesa boogie 115! cheers for the advise.
  8. just wondering, what weight is the bass?
  9. hi folks, i would like to scale down my existing 115 which is a custom build! the cab is fitted with a faital pro pr 400 which i like. I intend buying another pr 400 and use cabs in a pair for larger gigs. the cabs that interest me are the bag end s15d , markbass ny 115 and new mesa 115 and just wondered if anyone has some info the design, plans etc. you can see the basic size of cab i'm looking at. I do know there will be a steep roll off on the low end, but i never really liked wooly sub bass and much prefer a good lower mid push. ps....the cab will be tweeter-less
  10. the benefit would be a sweeter top end from the compression tweeter and a little more low end.
  11. I just use a laptop bag for my littlemark 2...fits well. granted, not the ultimate protection, but suits me
  12. For sale, is my 4u rack case, currently housing my markbass sd 800(which is 2u) has 2u blanking plate should you need to use it. going to take my amp out and use a bag to carry! rack in good condition, make is chandler.
  13. yamaha sy 85 synth, excellent condition!.....still considered one of the better synths made. some great usable sounds. downloaded manual and a few disks.
  14. Seems to be a distinct lack of extra length strings available for my trusty 79 stingray What do you recommend? Standard long scale used to fit, but alas, no more!
  15. I have a trace ah 130 head as a back up amp, and very good it is too, considering its modest power rating, it is fairly loud and punchy. I also use the smx compressor pedal which is great, having seperate high and low compression.

  17. a longer scale length is recommended...ie....35/36....having said that, my status shark 5 has a fairly tight punchy B string (125 gauge),and the bass has a 34inch scale!!!...indeed, i have played basses with a 35 scale and they too have the floppy B. work that one out.
  18. thinking of possibly pulling the trigger on one of these!...i like the burgandy mist. has anyone tried one? whats it like compared with a fender? l like the quality hardware and graphite reinforced neck, they seem well made! are there any other basses at this price point that will better this one? cheers
  19. it depends on the music you play as to what bass is required, be it 4,5 and 6 string, having said that, a 4 string covers most!.
