  1. Sold a pair of berg cabs to Geoff, top geezer and a pleasure to deal with.
  2. I have tried both and find the front ported HF, far better tone wise than the HR. seems to throw the sound better, slightly more volume. lower mids nicer. in short, i would put up with the size and weight penelty for a better sound

  5. Up for grabs are my pair of bergantino hs 210s complete with berg covers these cabs are in superb condition.... no dents in the grills carpet covering in top condition(no rips or tears) new plastic corners fitted(like for like)so no new holes made. hs means high sensitivity!..meaning, they can be driven to good levels with smaller amps. plenty of info on talkbass about these cabs....will try to get some pics soon.
  6. got the atk 300, and again, a very good bass.
  7. Hello folks, with the early stingray being a (string through body) bridge, i am interested in suggestions for strings(roundwound)....some long scale strings don't fit..too short so, which make would you suggest! thankyou
  8. cheers dood, d'addario been in touch, hopefully get it sorted
  9. Well, I was getting down to my last pack of strings, so I bought three new packs. To my horror, when fitting a new set, I found the scale length of the new strings to be shorter!!..the main body of the string finishing short of the nut. all three packs are the same! Just for info, the bass is a musicman (through body bridge) I have used these strings for years and they used to fit perfectly. which strings should I now use?.40-95 gauge.
  10. I am lead to believe cort actually make the lakland skyline basses, they are then shipped to the us for final set-up...please correct me if I am wrong!
  11. In the words of Bernard Mathews....that is BOOTIFUL
  12. The streamliner didn't do it for me, so for me, that would go.
  13. Cracking amps these are, and the dual compression is very good!!I have the pedal..... 350 BIG WATTS
  14. I had the streamliner 900 and found it lacking in the power department!...wasn't my cup of tea...carvins look nice tho
  15. Bravewood is the way to go!...superb relics, and to me, look better than the custom shop jobbies.
  16. I had a genz streamliner 900, wasn't keen on that, got a markbass LM2 and happy as easy to use, great sounding and as loud as the genz...must be bigger watts!!!
  17. The early peavey amps and cabs were a cut above, and very good value. I remember reading a 410 shootout in bassplayer magazine..cabs under $1000 these included swr and eden cabs, and the peavey 410tx(as it was then) sounded as good as the posh!! cabs
  18. just to clarify, the bass has had little use so surely the pots should not be worn! this circuit was fitted by overwater...it is a bart bc5 pickup and bart tct circuit fitted with, I assume good quality pots!...but then again!!
