  1. I have the bb 605 and have to say, a very good bass...light weight, great tone and very playable.... lots of love on talkbass!
  2. just looked at the picture and my trousers started to flap !
  3. Like Soulman, i too have the 5 string version and have to say, is a very capable bass!
  4. I tried a pair of 112 ext and have to say i was very impressed with the tone and volume of these cabs. with this in mind, what would i gain with spending extra and going for the 112 mnt. I realise the mnt has a different driver with higher power handling and xmax blar blar ! but in the real world, what is the gain?
  5. I had a status shark bass which had the wooden graphite- reinforced neck and have to say, great bass with no dead spots and stayed in tune really well

  8. As long as you use a 15 that matches the xmax and db rating of the 3015lf along with similar ratings for the 6 you should be ok.
  9. great cab !.....i think it may be 6 ohms and not 4 ohms, not 100% sure though.

  11. yamaha sy 85 synth up for grabs......still has very usable sounds, in great condition pickup only......£110
  12. As the title above suggests, i am wanting to add a jazz pickup to my precision bass. the split precision pickup by nature has great output and i want the bridge (jazz) to have a good match output wise along with good tone for that jaco sound.....would i be better placing the pickup in the 60s or 70s position.......what would you recommend? cheers
  13. have to be careful with changing to flats with a like for like gauge, with jazz type basses with a slim neck and possibly weaker truss rod(not in the first flush of youth !) you will end up with way too much neck relief and maybe at the end of your adjustment on the truss rod......so think on !! I would go for as flexible string as i could find.

  16. I have heard the dimarzio dp 123 is a good full sounding pickup in the bridge position and also humcancelling.
