The bass is built on the Nathan East silouette and being a 34 inch scale is very comfortable to play...bass weight is 9lbs Control wise, the bass has volume, balance, bass and treble, also there is a mid cut circuit(switchable) a bit like the vpf circuit on markbass amps.....bass has new 40-125 strings and is set up and plays beautifully.....Look them up on youtube and see what you think!...also well thought of on the talkbass forum....price to include shipping(uk) in hard but slightly tatty case. AdamWoodBass Posted May 25, 2017 Share Posted May 25, 2017 I can personally vouch for how good these are, I only recently sold one almost identicle to this one which had been my main gigging bass for about 10 years. Only reason I sold it was because my VM Jazz was closer to the sound I was hearing in my head and I wanted to go passive. They will handle an awful lot of punishment and consistently sound brilliant through any rig. The preamp is amazing, it's very very closely modeled on the Yamaha NE-1 preamp and to be honest having heard my old bass in comparison to the Nathan East signature model you can't really tell the difference on a recording in the mix.
