  1. Great quote from The Independent, in an otherwise OTT pathetic trashing of GnR (I mean, criticising the angle Slash holds his guitar as "priapic" ...) "[Rose' voice is] a creature that, were you to take it to a vet, would come home in a cardboard box."
  2. Successful tactic with Wals over last 3 years!
  3. For 59 (same age as me), Duff looks in great shape and is playing well. Slash, while sporting a few more chins than when I last saw him (people in glasshouses ...!), is on form too. Shame about Axl Rose, his voice is totally shot
  4. These are plenty loud for gigs. Ask @wateroftyne Oh and here's a 43 page thread on Handbox amps (short version: high quality, hand made amps with valve front end, such as R400, or all-valve such as WB100)
  5. Thanks @three! While I would prefer a sale, I realise its a big chunk of change in today's environment so I *might* consider a trade with cash my way for a short-scale Serek MW1/2, or Wilcock Mullarkey/Bisonic .... very specific, I know, but I do not hanker for anything else
  6. I can't be 100% but I think the BG Precision has a replacement celluloid tort scratchplate. The swirls are tightly packed and salami-like and there is less randomness, yellow blobs etc, compared with the Andy Baxter one. I have bought '60s style celluloid tort guards in the past from that US seller on eBay and they look very like the BG one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304867217982?hash=item46fb80923e:g:f6gAAOSwhKdkJw1W&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0OiE0xoxQOylnx0sR%2F4e26i7Mt03uF%2B1FXtwqxCQDV8NsbZeJ%2FA%2FybnRCwmsUeakez0TElKvulEUnNGTCIxEcA%2BzIRDRu74GKMokVPcObp8U6mcdqMgJEalbrQT0HrmvkXWcJV1d5lWCndfPtXqnchyJPPM646hj9OisBAy24CRYEOrRJm8OijE4c4XufZuy2SJtWnEu3UMDFT5yKqFJeDIWkXsdXEPcno43vtVaEh8%2BDcJwPF%2BPxdGC13vkAOI6%2FuVdKH6yOMLhHdgrL0ZYOH4%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5Tnz_acYg
  7. * Edit: withdrawing this for now to see if, with time, my injured left hand grows more comfortable with long scale * Absolutely mint condition, never-left-home long scale Serek Lincoln. Ebony board, dual Serek single pickups, hot rod red nitro finish, unusual J width neck (1.5"). Ordered from Serek straight before I knackered my left hand in horse riding accident in March which has left me only comfortable with short scale. Physio on my hand - as I had reinforced at hospital today - is going to take at least a year and I could use the money for other stuff in my life, rather than have it sat unused in gigbag. Comes with superb Serek padded gig bag and case candy. My £2,800 price tag loses me a bunch of money on the >£3k I paid, so no offers and collected from SW London. Alternatively, postage on top at cost and as agreed. PS, I will probably end up pulling this ad when I am less p*ssed off about my hand but for now its for sale Trade options added below: I already have a fabulous Serek short scale Midwestern 1 but would consider a second Serek MW1 or 2 or a Wilcock Mullarkey or Bisonic Serek ad with specs (NB, it weighs ~8.5 pounds, not the 7.5 pounds stated): https://www.serekbasses.com/product/serek-lincoln-34-scale-1-5-nut-serek-singles-hot-rod-red/
  8. For your amusement, 17 years ago. My death/thrash band Nyx at H&A. While its a pub like many in Camden, I do like the ghosts of the punk past there. Hope Sunday's gig is a blast @NancyJohnson

  10. Tremendous work, Vin. Hope you are still enjoying the bass!

  12. Ladislav bought my Fullerton 62RI P. He paid promptly, arranged the shipping to Czech Republic and was friendly and courteous throughout in his communications. Highly recommended!
  13. Might be worth adding pic of side of fretboard because I believe some fretless 4003s have side dots "on the fret", while in some years the dots were in the between-fret position
  14. From their website: "we also offer a commissioned sale alternative, we charge 20% on the final sale price"
  15. Something for you to drool over @Beedster? Wonderful looking bass, GLWYS
  16. Update: Well the doctors say it will be up to a year before my left hand forefinger works properly, even with physiotherapy due to fractures and severe ligament damage. Life is too short to wait that long before I can play a P bass dimension neck so I am open to selling this lovely bass. Incidentally I swapped the strings this week to a brand new set of Fender 9050L flats as the Dunlop flats were old and had a few kinks in them. See attached pics taken just now. Cheers Clarky
  17. Thats lovely Nick. Dan aka @Dood did a fabulous video review of this model and I was sorely tempted Ps, sure you know this, but the original US version of the bass (NS Shorty) was made for Gary Tallent of the E Street Band.
  18. Lovely bass. Might be worth adding the weight, especially if its a light one. Either way, quite the looker and GLWYT!
  19. @FinnDave this might fit the bill for your shortie tryout and three is a tremendous BCer to deal with?
