2004 Rickenbacker Fretless Fireglo 4003FL REDUCED! now £1900 - *SOLD* £2200 Glasgow

Extremely rare Fretless Ric. Reluctantly putting this up for sale, not using it and it is too cool to be hanging about unused and I'm after a lightweight 5. It's an amazing bass and top notch condition for a bass from 2004. Comes with a PVC Rickie case!

 

Just for info I’d consider trades/px for a good lightweight 5 string.

Thanks @Clarky, yes back in the day that would have been mine, extraordinary sounding instruments, there is no other passive fretless out that that can get the sheer power and tone that these can. But, as per another thread recently, I've owned two and sold two, I think it's time to see sense 🤔

 

However, if you've not owned one of these, you owe it to yourself, the first gig I did with my first was extraordinary, we started with Whole Lotta Love, and when the bass kicked in everyone in the space - including the audience, the rest of the band, the bar staff, everyone - seemed to stop for a few seconds, smile, check their viscera for damage, and carry on. It was one of the best gigs I ever played

I love the bass and if it doesn’t go I’ll be perfectly happy. I just fancy a decent 5 that’s a keeper and I’m running out of space!

Might be worth adding pic of side of fretboard because I believe some fretless 4003s have side dots "on the fret", while in some years the dots were in the between-fret position

Hi Clarky I had the dots replaced, they were on the between position …. Was unplayable for me so moved to the fret position.
