I use the cruztools stagehand. All quality stuff and it's all I need and more to set my P bass up. Small enough that it slips into my gigbag too for on-the-gig adjustments. Think it was about £22 from bass direct.

I had a similar farting noise through my barefaced six10, the noise was being produced only on the low G. I was using an orange ad200b at the time and I reseated the preamp valves and the noise stopped. Very weird.

For a no-cost solution, maybe try raising the pickup height? A string change could be a good idea. Daddario chrome's are vintage with a bit of bite all over. -
Like you say, if you've never had any issues before I wouldn't bother. In fact, you might cause yourself some problems by adding some shielding and having the electronics ground out on it. If it ain't broke...

For me, DR Hi Beams are the longest lasting round around. Having you tried using something like Fast Fret before and after you play?

Why is picking a band name so bloody hard?

I'm in the same sitch at the mo, trying to find a name that's kinda mundane and everyday. I used to go for 'adjective + noun' but I'm veering towards phrases at the moment. I try and keep everything around two words and three or four syllables. A lot of the bands I've been in have had terrible names. -

Lovely all valve Orange up for sale. I've owned and used this for a few months at band rehearsal but I'm moving it on since picking up a Traynor Yba-300 which I prefer. I sold another one of these last year. Yes, I had two. Cosmetically the amp is in good condition, there's a couple of small nicks in the tolex which I've tried to picture but as you know that's quite difficult. Valves sound very good and deliver ample power, I'm not certain how old the valves are but there's still plenty of life in them - no pops or odd noises. Pots are smooth without crackle. There's a two smart covers included: one Orange and one Roqsolid. The Roqsolid fits over the Orange one quite tidily. Somewhat sad about moving this on as I really do like the sound however I can't justify owning two valve behemoths. I'll definitely miss the excellent valve saturation you get at higher volume, which the Orange delivers in spades. Will not ship, simply too heavy and fragile at 26kg. You can come round and try this through my cabs if you like. I am in Leicester. I will drive reasonable distances to meet. Offers considered, no trades though thanks, too much gear already. Thanks for looking, Chris.

Had a Darkglass vintage ultra, sansamp deluxe, sansamp programmable, mxr m80/81. Now on the Sansamp BDDI V2 and I think this one will stick around.

Tech 21 boost chorus is fab. Wide range of depth and rate control. Detune control is a laugh too.
