Played a small festival tent with one of these and unfortunately couldn't hear myself at all. Just myself, drummer and a guitar player (30w Marshall valvestate 1x12.)
Possible that it was faulty I guess, but I dimed the thing and only received a fart. Unfit for purpose in that instance. Festival was sponsored by Orange that year and all.
I've had a look for one in the past, found nothing recently. There was a Japanese brand called 'Double Eagle' which, apparently, used to make quality replacement parts. Not sure if they got as far as the UK though.
All of this. Minutemen - Double Nickels On The Dime. My task for the last year or so is to play this (somewhat perfectly) the whole way through. I've learnt everything by ear and I'm almost there.
Spillage is huge.
Thanks Watt.
Here's my pickup, might pop the hood tomorrow and have a look at what's going on inside. Hard to take a good picture but maybe not as wonky as @Delberthot.
So the metaphors arrived at work today. Its bigger than I thought it would be (certainly bigger than the beloved sansamp) so it may not see any board time. I'll certainly give it a shot at home or recording though.
Shipping makes these expensive, but you've bought the Rick so you may as well go the whole hog. I love mine.

Welcome back to the club!
Yeah, people seem to be moving away from the big (proper) valve jobs and on to class D stuff. I've owned both and I think class D is a bit sterile. I currently use a 300w Traynor.
Best of luck with the sale anyway, hopefully somebody will pick this up soon.
So the switch finally arrived today and its a perfect fit. Five minutes of installation (a small dab of glue holding it in place, not the insane amount of epoxy I had to cut away before) and the micro vr is good for another 6 years of daily service. Thanks all.
