  1. I got a set of strings too… but they are for short scale basses. 🙁 (all my basses are 34inchers)
  2. Like what thebassist said:

I used to like it back in the 70s/80s when Schecter sold parts to make your own.

(I could never afford them back then, though.)

  4. I got loads of good gear, but the one that gets the most use for learning songs/practicing is a zoom B1on/apple earphones combo. Amp sims are decent enough, got an ok drum machine, and looper if I want to go to that solo bass stuff. Apple wired earphones because I find it balanced enough for music, so I can approximate the bass tone that I want.
  5. I tried almost all of them, except the Strobostomp HD. I got my Sonic Research Turbo Tuner middle of 2012 and is still being used till now. I love it so much I bought another. Atm my tuning arsenal consist of turbo tuner x2, Strobostomp classic (because od its DI out) and the tuners from my Helix Stomp and Zoom B1on. The Turbo Tuner beat them all.
  6. Wow, I just received a message on IG from Schecter that I have won a bass. 😊

That's a hot looking bass! Congratulations!

  7. Congrats on a great purchase @bassist_lewis. I have mine for almost five years now and it really ended the preamp search. And I tried a lot, including the Monique.
  8. Can’t believe the “big” board is now more than 2 years old which is kinda good and worrying at the same time. 😬 Although tbh the small board is kinda enough for my pub band right now.
  9. Hey, the rule is to add your total to the others. 😄😄
  10. Same, I rarely have bass GAS lately but geez…
  11. 551 or probably 35 if we count only the ones that our ladies know about. 😆
  12. This. Fentanyl isn’t gonna cut it for this one. .
  13. Selling this awesome pedal from EWS Japan. Provides clean EQ with sweet tonal frequency points. Only reason I am selling is because of impulse purchases and this is my spare otherwise its going nowhere. Will come with its original box. £75 collected from Aylesbury. Can post. http://ews-us.com/pdf/TriLogic2_manual_eng.pdf

The ability to hear and play along to the bass drum pattern. 😀
  15. Recently purchased a bass from Will. tried emailing several shops for trade quotation for my basses, and Will gave me the most reasonable ones. Phone call made, drove to the shop and within the day I got the Big Red bass from him. BassBros is now my favorite shop to deal with. 👍
  16. Yes and no more original box unfortunately
  17. i just went for a 4 string Ken Smith Burners from Bass Direct, then bought a separate Ken Smith high C from them as well.
  18. Hot weather really makes you do silly things so £80 posted to mainland UK. Hurry before I change my mind! 😁
  19. Bump, saw something I fancy so will consider selling for £1500 each. Collection preferred so you can try/check first.
  20. Hard, but I will go with Michael Manring. this video still give me chills. The way he used the natural reverb of the room is so good
  21. Selling my snare as I dont own an acoustic kit anymore. Would love to hang on to it but I mainly use an electronic kit nowadays. 14 x 5 . Very crisp and pronounced sounding snare. Perfect for rock, funk and everything in between. “The Pearl, Chad Smith Signature Snare Drum looks as good as it sounds, offering an exclusive 14" x5" black nickel plated steel shell, Pearl's CL-55 "Bridge Style" minimum contact lugs, 2.3mm SuperHoop II's, Pearl's "Gladstone Style" Vertical Pull Throw-Off and precision-fit, Stainless Steel tension rods and solid brass receives for super precise tuning.” will come with a gigbag/case.
