  1. Having secured a full bedroom at home (all to myself) to use as a music room, I can now withdraw this. I can hide what the hell I like in it and she will never know! My RCF's will be able to come home tomorrow too! I can feel a spending spree coming on! Having found myself with a pair of BF FR800's and a pair of RCF 745's for PA duties, it seems a bit overkill really. So many scenario's can be derived from the combination, it's untrue! So. for the moment. I've decided to sell a single FR800 (selling both isn't out of the question though). Logic is, RCF FOH and keep one BF as a PA monitor / FRFR as a bass rig. So, one is surplus. These cabs are truly astounding for their size and weight. It has done around 8 gigs for PA duties and performed flawlessly. In great condition (kept at home in a warm and dry environment) and comes with the original BF cover, (which is also in great condition). Would cost around £1320 new with the cover and so, considering it's age (about 12 months old), usage and condition the price is fair and of course there is no wait for construction. Collection and demo much preferred from Blackburn BB22SH. Can post (still have the original packaging) at buyers cost and risk. Would consider trades / px but the only things I can think of at the moment are - a small usb mixer (Allen and heath Zed type), 335 style guitar (Epiphone Lucille etc). May even consider light weight bass gear, BF cabs, Orange Terror etc. Maybe a P bass but others considered. Try me with anything, I can only say no. Pics to follow...

  3. Must resist, must resist, must resist. 🤐
  4. Sound advice above. I'm using a BF FR800 which is basically an active BB2. It's very clean in it's own. Coupled with a Behringer BDI21 or an Ampeg SCR-DI it sounds absolutely great. I'm using a JV Precision. Lovely old school thump. The BDI21 is only about £20 new so it's got to be worth worth a shot!
  5. They are resilient! Great for both guitar and bass too. A Selmer Treble n Bass was the first amp I ever played through too!
  6. What sort of compost is that Karl? The grass is lovely and green Seriously though, great cabs. Seriously great cabs! If I wasn't on the PA route myself, I'd be on it like a tramp on chips! GLWTS.
  7. Ummm, that's a point. Thanks for that.
  8. Thanks for clearing that one up! I suspected that the line and XLR would be connected. Ummm bit of a bummer. I don't fancy having to take a laptop around with it to adjust the gains either. Looks like it's a small mixer between the Ampeg and FR then that I need then. More money needed! Thanks again.
  9. I've just got an Ampeg SCR-Di and have had it running from the DI out straight into a BF FR800. Sounds great, more than great, brilliant isn't enough! I've just got to be careful to make sure the Ampeg is turned on and turned down before switching the BF on (BF has no volume control). This might be a silly question but I'd like to be 100% sure I'm right in thinking that - I could run the XLR DI to a PA and (now the real question) - run a 1/4" jack from the Ampeg line out straight to the FR800? I can't see why the jack won't be ok but just to be sure, I'm seeking a bit of advice from the knowledgeable before trying it out. 😀 Cheers in advance.
  10. This should come with an "Impending Divorce Warning"!!! That's a seriously fantastic piece of kit that I'd have a go at if I had any money! GLWTS.
  11. It's just me, nothing against blue. I like it really but I have a weird unnatural fetish for white Fenders!
  12. What a beautiful bass! I'd be very sad to see that go indeed. 66 is my birth year. I had to scroll down to the pics very very slowly in the absolute hope that it wasn't Oly white. I could feel the dread of my BF FR800's going up for sale! GLWTS
  13. I think I used to own this, it's a really nice playing / sounding Tele indeed.
  14. I used to go out with a girl like that...
  15. Top comb's and far too cheap! Definitely on par with my favourite combo of all time, the Eden Metro. I believe yours has a space under the amp for a single unit rack effect though (unlike the Eden)? Is this 400w standalone at 4 Ohm and 650w at 2 Ohm? Think this one is the original release and not the anniversary edition? Is that right?
  16. Hi Mike, it's a 34 and about 9lb maybe +9lb but would have to check.
  17. Last drop before withdrawal type bump.
  18. They are a great bit of kit but I've got everything I need on an ME50b now. I'll probably regret it at some stage though!
  19. Boss Compressor /Limiter / Expander and a digital Chorus Ensemble. Pretty good condition considering their age. Rather retro now as these were around in the 80's. I'm not using them anymore and so they may as well have a new home. Do not come with power supply or rack tray as I've found use for them. Can be seen / heard working at Blackburn BB22SH . Collection preferred. Postage at buyers cost and risk. I should imagine it would cost around £12 depending on the service you want. Send your own courier if you would rather do that though. Will be well packaged either way. Cash / bank transfer. Sorry, can't do Paypal. May split - Compressor £45 Chorus £65
  20. Can't seem to remember a Squier neck that age with no dots? If you look at the heel end and zoom in, it looks like the neck has been shaved to fit the pocket. Plus there's not enough frets and when zoomed, where there should be a fret there are 2 faint circles? Screws from either side maybe? I definitely wouldn't part with any amount of cash on that one!
  21. You need a joiner not a luthier!
  22. Aye it's a disaster. If the body or neck didn't snap, it may make a decent paddle!
  23. I only ever used guitar effects until recently (got an ME50B about 12 months ago). Still have the ME50 but our guitarist has nabbed it! To be honest I'd use them both if I could get the blummin thing back off him!
