  2. I would have bought it but trying to flip it for £265 on here would have destroyed my reputation... 😂😂😂😂
  3. Great pre amp but I'm moving back from FRFR to a conventional rig. Boxed and looks as new. I'm sure something could be found under scrutiny though! Velcro on the bottom. Will post at buyers cost and risk.
  4. Ah! It has the magic enhance knob too! Every bassist should have a magic enhanced knob when onstage. 🙄🙄😂😂
  5. Hi, I've always been intrigued by these. What would you think the system is capable of in terms of venue size and music type? What did you actually put through it that worked? Thanks...
  6. Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can A/B them somewhere. I love the BF and the RCF's I've already sold but with few gigs I had too much money tied up in them. Plus I'm tired of sorting all the PA put. I sort of figure that I'll get some money back and a less capable rig should ensure that we have to go back to hiring a rig in and the workload will be off me. Well, that's the plan! 😀
  7. Probably the best combo ever made! Absolutely brilliant. Still miss mine. Expensive piece of kit when new and still could give the most expensive gear a run for the money.
  8. Ironically, I only ever thought Markbass were ok but recently I got a Mark Mini 12 combo in a trade. It sounds great, so much so that I'm on the verge of going back from FRFR to using the combo with an extension. £1450 against something that stands me at £225, it's a no brainier I suppose.
  9. After spending a small fortune on some BF FR800's and pair of RCF 745's, I discovered that gigs aren't happening as planned and to be honest, I'm tired of being the PA bloke. I sold the RCF's but still have the BF's. Now, because of the lack of gigs, I''m thinking of moving on the BF's on and buying something cheaper that can handle pub gigs. We will have to go back to hiring rigs for some venues when necessary. Has anyone used the above or similar? Not particularly bothered about a sub as I'm not keen on them anyway. Something that will handle vox, a bit of guitar and a kick. Line up, 4 vox, 2 guitars, bass, medium hitter drummer. Handling bass would be a bonus but not really necessary. I only want to spend £600 max. New or secondhand would do. Tough ask, I know but as it stands the BF aren't earning their keep. Thanks in advance.
  10. Spoken like a true bass player! 😂😂😂😂
  11. Welcome! Basschat and a healthy interest in bass things will ensure you are always skint. If you can cope with that (like the rest of us) we will have a great deal in common! 😀
  12. Is this 4 or 8ohm? Just wondering what wattage it actually is putting out as a standalone?
  13. Agreed. But this bass would be far better than any other brand you could possibly get for the price. It's a real no brainier and good enough to use as a first choice. I wouldn't hesitate to gig with one of these! I still use a Thunder 2 and if I hadn't already got a P and a backup, this would be mine. 😀😀😀😀
  14. Hi, yes it was and I'd still be using it if I hadn't gone FRFR! I may well withdraw it soon though as I might be playing a bit of guitar and bass in a new project and this fits the bill. Lovely and loud with the right cabs for bass and unbelievably loud with guitar! So, many rigs and not enough gigs unfortunately for me. Thanks for the heads up! 😀
  15. Got some strap locks from Pestie. Totally as described and arrived super quick. Such a bargainous price too! 😀 May good fortune head your way! Thanks again Mike. Cheers Dunc
  16. Roland R8 and baby brother R5 are still great machines. I don't have either anymore but wish I had. I'm sure I came across the R8 manual in the loft a bit ago and I still have some sound cards knocking about. I'll have a scout for them if you want them? Gratis of course? 😀
  17. Alex bought my Boss FX. Flawless deal and I wouldn't hesitate to deal again. Instant payment and great comms. What more do you need? Thanks again Alex. Cheers Dunc
  18. I too am a victim. I feel like somebody has been in my handbag 😔
  19. I got this in a trade recently from Geddys Nose BC member. He bought it and did not use it due to band problems. The unit is in great condition with no problems and boxed. I love the thing but I only use delay, chorus, compression and this thing does everything else. I already have everything I need and I'm happy with the sound they make and so, can't really justify keeping it. Will post at buyers cost and risk. Arrange your own courier would suit me better. Collection much preferred. Possible meet up. May trade for a Squier VI, CV Jazz (with some cash my way) or Mex P / Jazz, maybe 22 and 24 fret 4 string basses considered too. Also, after a field recorder in PX. Shallow rack case too. Pics to follow.

  20. As above. Great little combo. It's the older version and so is a bit heavier than the current model. 250w as a standalone and 500w with extension. It's a loud little thing so don't be fooled by it's standalone wattage. It's Markbass who still do real watts. Everything works as it should and is in good condition. Comes with soft padded cover. For some reason, pics have been deleted? Probably my doing I guess! Will post some more as soon as I get access to it. It's in the rehearsal room. It used to belong to Ash of this very parish and his original ad may be still viewable via a quick search in the meantime. Selling due to a total rethink of my setup. Prefer pick up and trial from Blackburn BB22SH but will post at buyers cost and risk. May be able to meet up depending on distance etc.
  21. Got one of these in a trade the other day. Most impressive. GLWTS.
