I've just picked up the new Electro Harmonix Bass Clone. It’s pretty good, it's certainly worth a go. It gives more chorus to my sound than my previous EBS unichorus. I use it with a bit of distortion... Check the video out on You Tube

Stupidy loud, like the one we did last week. Not sure sure what the craic is with sound enginerds in the North East at the moment, but standing out front and listening to some of the other bands that we shared the gigs with was painfull to the point of me walking out last night.Yeah, punk and rock music needs a bit of poke but it shouldn't be unbearable. The outside of the building was shaking, I thought the windows where going to blow... crazy. We had a good gig though, the sound levels on stage where okay and it was all for charity. Same again tonight, Gateshead this time.

Sorted by Stoneham. Pulled the valves,noise disappeared. Put valves back noise gone. Thrashed the amp at practice still good. I was told to keep an eye on it. No charge, but slipped him a few quid. Very happy and will definitely use again. The Trace Elliot sounds awesome again.

Love the early Sisters stuff. Alice is one of my all time favourite songs, the sound of the bass on the early stuff is excellent. The Missions new album is pretty good too it's certainly got that old vibe about it. A very solid bass player and often overlooked. It would be great to get an updated gear rundown from Craig.

One of the best bass guitars ever. The quality of the BB3000 is very apparent as soon as you touch it, absolutely top notch... and you have that sound. If you play a precision, it's definitely one to put on the bucket list. If you can't get away with the dimensions of the Fender the Yamaha may not be for you. I sold mine as I couldn't get on with the string spacing and the pickup width. Shame really, it was one of my dream guitars.

Yes, it's been through the mill over the last few years but now seems to be pulling in the business. Check them out.... loads of gigs on.

I'll have to find a stockist and try one. I just couldn't get a finger sound I was happy with when playing in my band. No problem with a plectrum though.

You need to try one. I've found Ashdown have a sound of their own. I'd be interested to hear about the ABM600 and if it's an improvement over the ABM500.

Fingers crossed Andertons will do a comprehensive review of what this head is capable of. That one is just three blokes playing bass.

I've just watched the pro mo vid. It looks very well built and sounds great. I'm very interested in this head but need to see/hear more samples of the various sounds it can put out. Hard attacking finger style please with crunch, please. If it needs a fan then so be it. I won't hear it when playing live, it's a 900w head rammed full of distortion for stage use... it's not a bedroom toy. I think I want one.
