1.
I'm not convinced there would be that many of us at $100 a show...
I didn't mean it literally, I just meant in an attempt to smoke him out as it were
2. Anyone else want to join the party and message the Facebook page? It seems as though the band itself IS legit, just the authenticity of the email is in question. Surely he would welcome a bunch of "European" bassists beating his door down?
3. I'd be all over that mike Kroeger dig personally!
4. Sorry Bobby K, I was pretty sure I was going to take it, but Seeing one in action last night clinched it. To rub it in, the photo's don't do it justice, it's stunning in person :-)
5. This one also has the Spector logo, as opposed to the SSD logo. Never been a fan of the SSD logo myself. Cetera should be able to confirm the details though as he is the oracle of all things Spector!
6. Wow, what a stunning bass! At this price, I can't imagine it will stick around long. As you mention the NS4CR's have the solid maple wings and are apparently more true to the U.S. Spector sound, but have never had the change to compare myself. GLWTS
7. Always wanted to try one of these, great looking basses. This seems very reasonably priced too, it's a good job my needs ah e somewhat changed of late!!! GLWTS
8. Hey JapanAxe, it's fitted to my Spector euro, And I got the pots from waveydavey so I'm Not sure as to to the make
9. I always found that full vol on both pickups on my jazz (before o changed to dp123's gave a poorer output than favouring one pickup, it has to do with the outputs being I phase or something technical (I Annan electrician so should know this) so always favour one or the other
10. Hey everyone, just a little though here as I feel like I have had a lightbulb moment. I have just swapped my vol/vol controls on my bass for vol/pan and it's awesome!!! I can't imagine why you would want it any other way.... I always have at least one of the pickups on my p/j and previously my jazz fully on, so to tweak the mix meant two knobs needed fiddling. Now I just leave the volume maxed and pan between the two to get the blend! Anyone have any negative is this approach?
11. Oooooh, now that IS nice.... Damn you now I have GAS, but not enough money!!!!
12. Would make a great preamp pedal....
13. Personally, the idea of being able to rent gear sounds quite appealing, it could cure GAS. The thought of renting my gear out is far less appealing however, and if I had to pay a large deposit to rent, is sooner take a punt and just buy. I could imagine some people may be interested though, so good luck!
14. Well, it's nearly home time mate... Finger crossed all is ok!
15. I'm in a "grunge tribute" band called smells like Seattle, playing all the big hits from the era eg nirvana, pearl jam, Alice in chains, sound garden etc. really god fun, and to be honest, it's a far more technical genre than I had given it credit for.
16. Hey everyone, Due to unforseen circumstances, my current band are hiatus until mid August. So in an attempt to keep me busy and maintain some sanity, I thought I'd offer my services to any band in need of a dep bass player. I'm easy going, have a pro attitude and gear, and given enough notice could learn to get through just about anything. I can supply videos of my live playing etc, but some of you may already know my band... Let me know if you are interested, I am Wigan based but happy to travel (within reason) as have my own transport.
17. Cheers Romeo, was a pleasure. Thank you for the trust, and also for making my Spector euro proper Spector once more!!
18. Will most of the manufacturers pedals run on 12v?? I have a tc, ehx, Dunlop, and Sansamp... If this had been the fuel tank jr I'd already be all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake!!
19. Romoe got In touch with regarding a swap for my emg preamp for his trim pot tonepump pre. Because he is new to the forum and had no feedback, I asked if he would trust enough to send his first (from Italy), which he kindly did. The package arrived right on time and had great correspondence throughout. I fitted the pre and all worked as it should, and the. Sent my emg to him. Just heard that he has fitted it and is very happy, so a massive win/win. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again, thanks Romeo!
