1. Sounds to me like a bass played hard with a pick through a SVT that's overdriving. It think the key is how you play the bass here. Might be a distortion pedal on there but I don't think so.
2. Here is an update of my current 3.
3. Hi Guys I am not 100% about this yet but I am considering selling my Graft Recurve. My band needs have changed and i can't really justify having 2 fretted 5 strings. Its in excellent condition with just one ding which is on the headstock. (I will add a photo) Specs are Swamp Ash top Alder body 3 piece maple neck asymmetrical profile Rosewood fingerboard no radius East 2 band EQ ACG pickup Hipshot bridge Gotoh tuners Its a great bass and is very punchy. The money from this sale will be most likely going straight into another ACG. Would also consider trades for 6 string fretless basses. Could potentially out some money towards. Happy to meet within 100 miles of Nottingham. 4. For sale Warwick Quad VI. I have been using it for years and it is a great sounding and reliable amp. Its very very loud and rated at 600 Watts. Its in good condition except it is missing the original volume knob. I have replaced it with another one and it functions fine. Also a little bit of rack rash on the top. 2u rack included. Heres a couple of crappy pics Stole this description from online: From the days when bass amps had power, punch and a sound that hits you in the chest! This classic amp hand crafted in Germany was a favorite amongst bass players. Its hybrid combination of tube preamp delivers warmth and Mosfet power amp delivers punch & power. A powerful 600 watts of power gets the job done. The 12AX7 Preamp tubes provides warmth. The Amp also features an EL84 tube before the mosfet power amp to give full tube amp sounds. The Quad VI features Warwick’s 4-position QUADRUMATRIX control. Each position offers a unique preamp-shaped voice with the tone controls shifting to accommodate each. Positions 1 and 2 bypass the EL84 output tube, using only the 12AX7 preamp tubes. Positions 3 and 4 unleash the full potential of the output tube and transformer. Position 2 offers the flattest response, while positions 1 and 4 have more extreme shaping. Two frequency-shift buttons change the two mid controls’ center frequencies. Powerful LOW BOOST and HIGH BOOST buttons provide additional tone-shaping options. The QUADS simple-looking controls offer a lot of flexibility. Winner of the BASS PLAYER Magazine Editors Award. They Said : The Warwick Quad VI is essentially a big tube amp minus thetransportation and reliability issues. The QUADRUMATRIX preshapes, combined with the powerful tone controls, provide numerous texture and tone possibilities. European products are rarely a bargain in the U.S. due to additional export, shipping, and distribution costs, but the Quad VI is reasonably priced for an amp that offers so much. Read the FULL REVIEW HERE: SPECIFICATIONS Front Panel

GAIN Control + LED to adjust the input level. 5. Bought an Aguilar head from Mike. Excellent all round and a cool guy.
6. One of my favourite ACG basses ever. Alas no money.
7. Personally I think the primary goal of the Bass Bash is to meet other lefty players and try other lefty basses. Therefore i would say no house band. When else are you going to have such a diverse selection of left handed basses to choose from. I liked the chilled out atmosphere of last years bash but it would of been improved if we didn't need to keep turning down/ have people stare at us. A pub function room is ideal i think either that or a practice space.
8. I wpuld have no issue travelling to London or Manchester.
9. Just booked my place! see you all there.
10. I'm in the same position. i am quite happy with the Westfield tone but want to experiment.I am thinking of going with the Aguilar Hot P.
11.
Oh God.. We've created a monster.. O____O Why not start learning to play guitar if you need that many strings?
Yawn
12. Thats quite a reduction isn't it? I love the ACGs Patch's looks awesome.
13.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've only just found this thread! On the other hand, my life priorities have changed somewhat in the last couple of years so perhaps not so surprising. All the same...
Welcome back buddy
14. Ashdown is one of mine as well. Whenever i see one i think i bet that will sound wooly. When in actual fact i have only played through a couple of their lower end heads and cabs. I think we all like to pretend we know more than we actually do.
15. Cant really help with the amps but i used to use an EBS classic 410 and replaced it with a Aguilar GS410 and the difference was unbelievable.

ACG build

Great set of basses! Welcome to the multiple ACG club.
17. Check the height of your strap too. This has impacted on me in the past. too low or high can impact on both your wrists.

20. That's a good price. I can't justify any more basses until I get replace my amp
21. Gig at the Maze in Notts with Meta-stasis. Full of issues. Turned up and there was no bass cabs. It was agreed they would be provided. Back to studio to get mine. Speaker cable broke after the first track so only had my 1x15 which dosnt work so well for all the slap I do Headline bands can exploded and they nearly didn't play. Sorted it in the end though.
