Not bought a bass from Paul but I now have his Sonorous fretless bass - if you're in doubt about buying one of Paul's basses, I only have one thing to say. Don't be. This bass sounds wonderful, has huge amounts of sound, wonderful tone and is truly alive. Thanks Paul for your brilliant work.
My mate Steve playing all instruments on YYZ............. Makes you sick doesn't it!!!!
This guy's just a bit clever . He should be touring with Rush on their next visit to the UK - he could fill in for any of them!
Santana and The Doobies, Louis Prima of course but only if the suns shining. Nothing wrong with that, but in the winter I'm partial to a bit of Mud, Slade, or even Sweet.
Ahhh ... The Doobies. Don't think I'll be thinking about work this pm.
Deb the darkness are playing as I type this , love it
Fantastic. Who couldn't love "Friday Night"? Guaranteed to make you laugh. I saw The Darkness in Cardiff and they were brilliant. I'd driven into the the back of someone whose brake lights weren't working earlier that day and an evening with the brothers Hawkins was just what the doctor ordered. Love 'em.
Not the coolest band in he world but love a bit of elo !
Me too. I also freely admit to loving The Darkness' Permission To Land album and The Stylistics. Are we still friends?

Great pics - that is a huge change. What made you think "today's the day" ? -
Bought Sean's fretless Prosebass - thanks for making this a very easy purchase and of course for sending me this very special bass. I've just picked it up, will plug it in as soon as I get home. Thanks Sean.
Yes at some point - it'll probably have to be some time next week now. I'm not in tonight or tomorrow night and working late the rest of the week so may not have time to get the camera out and arrange the bass in a suitable pose!
Great, will look forward to it. Sorry about the late nights you have coming up .... -
I'm glad to hear it. I don't know any women who wear high heels (for example) and frankly can't see why anyone would wear them.
I'm a high heel fan. Love em, love em. Don't wear them all the time but if I'm going out very high heels are my choice. I have lots of them but spend time in running shoes or hiking boots or Harley Davidson bike boots. Ahhhhh .... Basses and shoes! -

Slick work Shell. Now I am in trouble ... a post about basses and shoes, guess where I'm off? -
Yep, I love it too. I'm new to it but at the moment there's not much else that I want to spend my time doing. Seems I'm in perfect company here.

Could be good news for me as I've got 2 weeks off work then ... might be able to make it after all -
When do you get this very nice gift to yourself? Bet you can't wait? New bass days are always good - can't wait for my next one
Yes, but I read the thread title, and immediately thought; "And I feel Heavy Metal" "Woohoo" "And I've pins and I've needles..." (Song 2 by Blur for the uninitiated)
Goody good indeed. Clearly your new strings have given you that Friday feeling on Thursday. That has to be good. Enjoy!
Don`t you need to remove unfortunate rodents etc from those spikes after a night out? Having said that, you could stick a setlist on one and just glance down to view. Do they do em in 8s?
Nice suggestion for the setlist! Will keep that in mind. Yes, they come in a size 8 .... Go for it! -
I don't know which is more intriguing, but I do know I prefer shoes which don't look as if they're causing ankle damage... Five years in cuban heels will do that. So I'm going to guess that debwilliams wore the sensible shoes.
Awww - afraid not. It's me who has a soft spot for very high heels
