1. Thanks, will watch this one. Did you see Marcus when he was in Cheltenham? He was wonderful
2.
Mmmmmmm, very tasty!
Cheers - wonder how much I can get for my 8yo nephew if I sell him ?
3.
I have a strange variant of GAS where a think I have a deficiency of black Fender basses. I must stop looking at them on here.
DL - I'm with you on this. They are just too seductive ...
4. ARRRRRRRRRGH !!!!!!!!!! This is so the wrong time for me to look at these pics this "for sale / in need of a good home" bass ... I've been bass-less since yesterday and will be until tomorrow and I'm WEAK. Just imagine how perfect this P would look with this J ... 5.
I didn't know they did the flat black in the jazz base. You oughtta buy my p bass to keep it company the !
They do indeed .... if you decide to go ahead I shalll keep my beady eye firmly fixed upon this fine looking gentleman. Black basses look so nice on my off-white leather sofa .
6. So sorry to hear about what's happened Mel. Totally support all that's been said here that you absolutely deserve your bass, we all deserve nice things that's as much theory as you need. I hope you can find another solution. Most vets will let you pay off your bill every month, I've done this at times. Give it a try maybe?
7. I like that - very much, big time, quite a large amount, a LOT . That would look so nice as a partner in crime to my HW One Jazz in flat black ...
8. Well done on getting a cracking deal - will look forward to the "welcome home" pics
9. No restriction for me either!
10. Will watch replies with interest as I've got a HW One Jazz and love it. If I consider (well more of a when I consider) a P bass, will def look at the HW One P's. Deb Any chance of a pic of your HW One P?
11. Will get some ideas together Louise. Def up for Cardiff things but midweek trips are out for me as my dogs can't be alone all day plus again in the evenings .... watch this space, Thelma More local is good midweek though!
12. There are plenty of open mic nights in Swansea Debs if you fancy going for a look. Can check with a friend for you which are worth checking out? Think these are geared more towards singers but who knows?
13. Hi Fellrunner. Great name, I don't mind the distance but not the pace, I'll stick to a day in my hiking boots. Welcome
14. No can do ... gutted .
15.
often my punters are drunk, thank god lol
Hopefully I'll progress from family pets to a wider audience . Practice is the answer (and, seemingly alcohol).
16.
If you can't, do what I do and make your own bassline or adapt it. The majority of punters won't realise the difference (that said my punters are my cats and chickens! Lol!)
My punters are a greyhound, a jack russell and occasionally a neighbour or unsuspecting friend .
17. Another vote for Ashdown practice amps. I've just got myself a Tourbus 10 and I'm very happy with it. It cost less than one visit to a local Osteopath so it makes good economic sense as well as sounding great
18.
Alright, steady on now Thelma!
Self control ??????
19.
What, you mean hols?
Yep, it's 256 miles from me so can't have a leisurely drive down after work on a Friday night. Would have to take a day off for this BUT this is Guy who is as close as I'm likely to get to David Gilmour . He does play bass very nicely too.
20. Hmmmm ..... must check annual leave allocation in work tomorrow
21. Hi Heath - welcome and I'm just off to have a look.
22.
I think it was a comment along these lines that started the commotion!! : Perth is such a nice City.Used to play in a pub called The Mallard- it was well lively.
I've had lunch in Perth! It was en route home from Thurso to Swansea now that was a very long journey
23.
I really want to go now!
And me too ... but I want to go and play High Hopes with them. No Hope of that happening but that is what I want! Maybe if I say it enough, someone will hear me?
24. Here are two pics I took of a young gentleman and two of his basses. Quite boring pics but hopefully they do something to suggest attendance, I have my ticket if you'd like to see that? I didn't take any pics of anything other than this individual. Someone mentioned that there was a band playing? Must have missed them but there was a bassist who played and sung Floyd tracks for a few hours
25.
I'll talk nice to the wife & see what happens. She'll probably say "Don't leave me now".
Go on - be FEARLESS.
