  1. again I'm lucky here too. I work with an extremely talented keys player. He can programme, sequence and really play. Also gets all the right sounds (important for the 80s stuff) As previously said, it might come back to you Jake
  2. I went to one of these shows with dep bass player. Went to speak to him after the show as he was largely ignored when they came out. Really nice guy. Great gig, have seen them several times and supported them once. Would love to see MTs band
  3. not yet, I was going to take it to Andy Crockett to put it together. I have some other stuff he needs to look at but haven't got round to it yet must try harder!!
  4. I have a p bass body and a j maple board neck. They seem fine. A luthier friend of mine told me about nortwest a good few years ago and how good they are. I feel these dodgy necks must just be a bad batch and hopefully Northwest will sort out the problems Must put my bitsa together, it's just sat in my shoffice, on my desk
  5. Is now going to be tomorow. Sunday 5th
  6. I had 3 months off last year. Then started playing in my studio, to backing tracks. Fingers were sore for a bit but I realised I had to keep playing to keep the match fitness. It's amazing how it goes as you get older (I'm 53) Gigging full on now
  7. another eneloop user here, Sennheiser G4 mic. One charge lasts at least 2 gigs for me, and that will be nearly 5 hours of use (turned off in the break) I have this charger https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eneloop-Panasonic-K-KJ18MCC40E-battery-charger-white/dp/B07QM9TDMG/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=panasonic+aa+eneloop+and+charger&qid=1630493837&sr=8-6
  8. cheers I've gone ahead with it. Fingers crossed
  9. it's the gig of the year, bank holiday Monday. I've done it every year (Except 2020) and it's always been fabulously sunny Trying to re-schedule for this Sunday
  10. Was cancelled on the day. It was outside on Deal Sea Front but the weather was awful. We were so looking forward to do this gig, REALLY buzzing after our rehearsal. It's taken us a year to get to this stage, (when I say a year, it's been a year in planning) but when we all got together....BOOM One practice was all it took. Everybody had learned their bits etc, and the groove with the bass and drums was epic we were gutted
  11. software is all up to date. After some checking on fora, ipad2 doesnt work with the app I need
  12. ok folks I'm looking to buy a refurbished ipad 4. 64Gb Amazon have plenty about 250 quid but I see other sellers advertising them from £110 upwards Anyone have any experience with this I bought an ipad2 4 years ago but it's not compatible with the iRig pedal I want to use, which is why I want the 4 TIA
  13. just ordered, thanks. I have normal switch cleaner, which I've used a couple of times but if this deoxit is better long term, that's all good for me Desk will get a spray before its next gig, hopefully, which is outside on bank holiday Monday
  14. could I use this deoxit stuff on my mixing desk faders. I have a couple of dodgy ones. It's a 10 ten year old allen & heath zed-fx22
  15. I've already done a load. Seems to be back to normal, p1ssed up people everywhere, I prefered table service and sitting down Happy to be playing again though
  16. there are some very good cheaper guitars out there I gigged last weekend using my Vintage SG with vibrola trem. Very good bit of kit. I have 4 Vintage 6 strings and they are all good
  17. I have always gone back to my P bass. With that in mind, keep the EBMM and get rid of the fenders, as you say, get a 2nd MM.
  18. Agreed, terrible news but your health must come first. Good luck and I wish you all the very best
  19. I don't think so. The drummer was superb, I've no idea who he is. Jon Moss has left and is suing them atm
  20. happy to stand but not with people in front of me. I dont need the hastle at my age😂
  21. http://www.majelectronic.co.uk/ If you need spares, Mike is the guy to supply them Us old timers love the old H/H gear
  22. finally got to see them Paid silly money for front row tickets (not as much as the bloke next to me) What a rhythm section. Actually George's voice was excellent but he is a bit of a nob. Lulu was one of the support acts and was first class and she came on and sang 'Man who sold the world' with CC. Great version, well done everyone, (bass player used a Mustang for half the set) Event security couldn't keep the punters in their seats, which made a mockery of being in the front row. A shambles. Won't ever bother with this kind of gig ever again but Culture Club were fabulous, they played songs that I'd forgotten how much I loved. Anyone else there?
  23. last night I rehearsed with my Stereophonics band. We last played together 2 years ago. We have only done one gig and we had 2 rehearsals for it. Ran through the set last night twice. 2nd run through was really good. The point is here, everyone does their homework before rehearsal and the result is good. I joined a function band this year too. It was all on me to learn the stuff, which I did. we gigged, it was great, got rebooked immediately. If it takes too long to come together, it doesn't work IMO
