6. Just to say i have 1 of these AE 112's wth my IP 112 and the tone is just amazing. Crystal clear but goes nice and deep as well. If I ever move my IP on ill be looking for another AE cab as they weigh nothing
7. Currently Gassing for a Sadowsky MV5 ash/maple 70's action and an NS 5 string EUB. not going to happen for a while
8.

I love it!!! the Sh*t posing as meat drive! RRP £250
9. Still got your old one Frank Took it on tour last year and it sounded fantastic in the big concert halls, these are seriously good basses that seem to command very little money compared to the new price/quality of instrument. You really will not get a bass as good as this for £800!! Have a bump
10.
I have both on my pedal board, and the Beta is a different animal. The Beta is fat, warm, punchy tube drive that sits nicely in the mix. I use it as an always-on pedal. It's quality, and kind of gives that 'tone' you search for, being a P player. The EHX is a great overdrive. The level of grit is just right- it must be the blend control- but you don't lose your place in the mix, as so many pedals seem to do, with the character and tone of the drive being what cuts through. I hate pedals which make you disappear, and you can't hear the drive, or are too top-endy so all you hear is the drive and no fundamental. Highly recommended, and for £60? Crazy.
Cheers mate, I think ill hang on for a used Beta as it sounds just what I want for warming my P bass (sorry to go OT)
11. ive only just heard of these! im quite tempted, would you say they are a cross between sunbeams and high beams (brighter sunbeams)?
12.
And here it is, in all its VHS glory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvWiT6Q6Awk Thanks for sharing Grammefriday that made me smile 'Awesome' is a rather overused word nowadays, but LJ really was an awesome player.
13. ive a few faves off the top of my head the following Louis Johnson's stingray on Mike Mcdonald s "I keep forgettin" Marcus Miller on Donald Fagens"The Nightfly" title track, no slap!!! Anything from Anthony Jackson Will lee on Randy Crawfords " Declaration of love" P bass Abraham Laboriel on Randy Crawfords "you might need somebody" not sure P Bass? Randy Jackson on Journeys "ill be alright without you" stingray anything from Bernard Edwards Ditto Nathan East Scott Edwards on anything from rufus! Tom Hamilton on Aerosmiths "voodoo medicine man" overdriven stingray and prob loads more
14. so would you say it would give a nice tubey/motown type of drive, the same way the solid gold beta drive does? I quite fancy one of these myself
15. I don't even play guitar and i want it,absolutely stunning have a bump
16. Finally got my latest board together! don't use loads of effects in what I do, but I stick em in where I can. nowt massively flash but a nice mix of boutique/ vintage Boss/good quality/cheap and cheerful the enabler drives my Bergantino IP stack.Got most sounds ill need, however pedals are addictive and I want more. All housed in a Diago gigman and connected (mostly) with the wonderful OBBM 's patch cables.
17. would love too mate, but a bit out of my price range
18. ive always wanted one of these, gorgeous looking basses! Abe Laboriel uses one and sounds incredible
19. Absolutely gutted, Louis Johnson is one of my biggest influences. As a young player I wore out his starlicks video, he taught me how to slap!!, his groove and tone on "I keep forgettin" is amazing. I love his playing on "The dude" by Quincy Jones, he will be sorley missed.
20. bahh wish I had the cash, I wanted this at £500 ,ive spent far too much buying effects of late
21. still amazed no one has taken this guys arm off! you will never get a rig as amazing as this for such little money! it even includes delivery!!!!! you would just about get two passive berg cags used for this. c, mon Luke, how long have you wanted one of these?
22. ive always been happy with the Diago boards! I had the showman, then the commuter and finally settled on a Gigman. The commuter can get quite a few pedals on.
