    If this were a 5 string, I wouldn't be parting with it. *Almost* but not quite showroom condition - a few minor surface marks front & back. Currently with a set of coated strings - E & A getting a little 'furry' where they've been picked. Plastic inset around controls still there as can be seen. Case is good except for the right-hand catch has been knocked off - the bits are inside. !!also includes keys!!. Needs fret polish.     Bought new from CC Music Glasgow about a year ago, it's just not getting played enough. Retrovibe Stinger preamp & fancy knobs fitted along with adhesive 'blocks' on fretboard. Currently with D'Addario Chomes mid-life. No case. Would accept £235 posted or trade for a Squier Bass VI in sunburst.     Selling my Yamaha BB415 on which Howard, The Bass Doc has installed a John East pre. The cavity needed routed a little bigger, a new cover cut and the 18v battery box fitted. As usual, Howard made a wonderful job. There's a few surface marks, but nothing bad, and the machine heads have been changed as the originals were rattling & loose.     Isn't the whole point of the drummer to keep the timing? If he can't do it then he's no asset to the band. yes, I've quit over drummers like that. Having said that, I've played with some pretty poor drummers with a good sense of timing. G.

    Just listen to as many of the Blues greats as you can - and maybe listen to Coco Montoya a bit too as he's a modern bluesman who's not stuck to 12 bar. Apart from that, try and find a blues jam night somewhere near & go & participate. G.

    Happened in a band I was in a few years ago. We arrived with written confirmation, and as above, since the other band was advertised we stood back, but the management admitted their mistake and gave us half our fee. G.

    You know how they say - 'Knock yourself out!'? Well I once did. I was playing stage right next to an unused upright piano, whn I dropped my plectrum (I was playing guitar at that time). I bent down to pick it up and as I straightened up I caught the top corner of the upright piano just behind my right eye - hard! Seemingly I stood there, glassy-eyed, swaying back and forward. Now this was an old hall and the stage was at least 5 feet above the dance floor, so it was a long-sh way to fall. Luckily the rhythm guitar player had spotted my predicament and ran forward and gently pulled me back to sit down on the stage. That was where my next moment of awareness occurred - after a couple of minutes I was OK to carry on, with a bit of a headache. G.

    I had one of the IBS 200W heads a while back & thought it was a great sounding amp, but just not enough grunt for what I was doing at the time - would be OK now, though. G.

    I've used Picato steels before & saw/heard no prob., but nickel tuens my skin black anyway. I tend to use flats now & have been very happy with Picato flats, although I felt they could have been more responsive (low-ish signal). G.
