1. I might pop down if I can - I didn't know you had a new band. Are you playing DB at all? Not much room for one on that stage! Bit of a funny setup that venue, stand downstairs and I get a good view of your shins, or go upstairs and I can just see your heads! Played my first ever gig there.
2. Back pocket. Easy to get in and out without fuss.
3. What's the width at the nut? I don't get on well with anything bigger than 1.75"...
4. The ad was edited this afternoon. He probably sold it elsewhere and doesn't know how to retract the ad.

Matamp

I want one of those vertical 2x12s as well, perfect fit underneath an AD200B from a pic I saw. Might have to give them a call at some point...
6. Also check out the Status half rounds. They are rounds ground down to be as smooth as flats and sound like a mixture of both.
7. I have a local shop Clas Olson (like a cross between Ikea, Maplin and Homebase!) that sell the good ol' lead stuff: http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Siteseeker/Sea...o.aspx?q=solder I tried the Maplin silver solder and not only is it hard to melt, it doesn't stick anywhere near as well as the 60/40.
8. Cool bass! Although last time I tried a P5 I found uncomfortably wide at the nut (1.875") for my smallish hands so ended up with a BB415 (1.7") instead. Any idea of the nut width on this one?
9. For a traditional P-Bass sound but with a tad more growl and clarity, the Lindy Fralin pickups are top notch (although you'll have to get em from the US).
10. The 1024X / 1025X is supposed to be pretty much the same thing but without the exotic voodoo wood treatment, for less than half the price. Never seen one in the flesh though, although I really like the chrome pickguard on the X models.
11. Not that I find her playing particularly inspiring, but overall I have to say my favourite P-Bass player is Ginger Reyes: But if you're talking about actual bass playing, then I guess it would have to be Geezer Butler and James Jamerson.
12. Too many nice basses tempting me on here right now...
13. Only seen em on Thomman.de, but kind live to try one too to see if it's worth the upgrade from the BB415.
14. I think you made the right choice! You could do with a 15" cab though for proper old school thump!
15. I take it that's a guitar cab? I'd love a purple Matamp cab to go under my Orange AD200B!
16. The Behringer BDI21 is a darn good Sansamp knock-off and is only £22 new. If money is tight, it's a no-brainer!
17. I could be tempted to buy this if you could post... Does it have a hard case? If not I guess you could whip the neck off and cocoon both sections in bubble wrap...
18. In the comments for the video on Youtube, he states it's a Sovtek Big Muff: Welcome to the world of bass fuzz!
19. Hmm, and I've been after a nice fretless P too... I'm too busy to make a trip to Brighton right now, although let me know if you ever come near Croydon...
20. Retrovibes now in Fireglo and Mapleglo, with maple bodies! http://probass.co.uk/Update.html
21.
I spoke to David at Probass and he's hoping to have a 5 string version of the RV4 sometime in April. I've put my name down for one
Sweet, I may have to do the same. Hope there's even more colour choices too!
22. Natural plywood wouldn't look too hot though.
