All useful and valid, thanks v much the font - i think that may be an incompatibility perhaps or personal dislike, looks perfect on my macbook, hudl and iPhone (although the tabs appear as a washed out drop down box on the smaller devices - i'll have to fix that somehow) and the band guys like it images - we wanted a very clean looking site, theres images all over our Facebook and lemon rock stuff. Happy with them on the gallery page really, everything in one place if people want to see what we look like. The home page banner is upscaled and a bit fuzzy, agreed. Did the typography thing - good spot, it looks better now ta Icons on contact page - again i agree but haven't figured out how to do it yet (but it is my first ever attempt at anything like this so go easy on me :-) our ellipsis is now reduced to just 3 dots too - i got carried away with those too many pics of geetardist/singer - we all look like mongs most of the time on stage, he tends to photo up better 80's 90's against 80s 90s - yup, dictated by the font unfortunately, probably going to stick with that. Sorted out the capitalisation though, good spot and thanks... and media tab is work in progress - gonna delete it until we are ready to load it on songs chosen to be different and then listing sex on fire and summer of 69 - we offset that by stating that there are some classics in there. And those particular ones are part of a whole different post - my view is if they wanna hear them, we'll play them. We're paid to get people singing and dancing and rebooks come from playing what people want to hear. They're actually not in the set list most of the time, just there if we need them - we have plenty of others that do the same job. Blue - good idea to put the next gig on the front page. We always have it as a pinned post on our Facebook but it wouldn't hurt on the site as well. All good and constructive stuff guys, thanks for your time and efforts :-)

I didn't want to clutter the front page ideally. And yes, good point about the link titles, cheers :-)

hmnnn....i did it on a macbook and the menu looks fine on that. I'll have to check it out on a tablet. and the decapitated piccy was deliberate - we're very ugly so i thought the lights and knees would show us at our best :-)

I've just had my first go at creating a website for the band. We have used Facebook and Lemonrock for a while but wanted something a bit more like a "brochure" to promote the band. So, i discovered Weebly and had a go last night whilst watching the football with the other eye :-) Could any of you who have experience with websites have a quick look and throw some suggestions at me for anything i am missing with the design of the site please? I am going to add a media page with some video and audio but the stuff we have available now isn't quite up to scratch in my opinion so needs redoing. I have an ABM600 and its a great amp (paired with a couple of BB2's). Doesn't suffer from the Ashdown wool thing and you can do a great SVT thing with it.....

Push the low mids and mids a bit is the general answer - or, if its just boomy, cut the bass and crank the volume..... Depends on your rig though of course - some setups are punchy, some are smoother

how have you still got this Shonks????? people are missing a trick with this one - she's a beaut with a fantastic neck and lovely finish (honey burst is loverly...) have a "my old bass" bump -
i'm pretty much ready to eat my own leg at 1am after a gig....... anything will do, my quality control goes out of the window. however a Lamb shish with chilli and garlic sauce, red cabbage and salad is top of the list

not sure if this is the right forum or within the rules - mods feel free to move/delete it if you feel you need to....... Just hunting strings on Fleabay and came across these Elixirs at a cheap price. Check out the spelling on the top right info panel on the image of the back of the packet - loads of errors leads me to believe they may be hooky. Just a heads up. Be careful out there..... I think its a risk of the newer text/messaging culture - you just assume people have read/seen the message and can't be bothered to get in touch. I'm pretty certain that anyone who's living depends on selling anything would be pretty hot on following things through...... i gave my 12year old lad a roasting the other day for not replying to a text from me (just one about collecting him from school) - he insisted he hadn't received it and it came through as we were talking - he genuinely hadn't received it. You can't beat the old school method of actually talking to people....

Thoroughly enjoyed this program. A refreshing mix of good bands - i thought they were all good in their own ways - and the 2 i liked most went through. Bombskare were awesome, so much energy and i bet they are a real laugh live - i dont even like ska..... Looking forward to the next instalment.
