  1. I've got a Native Instruments M32 sitting in a box unused since COVID if that's any use to you? Used it for a bit of recording for a few months to stop myself from getting bored before the gigs came back. I doubt I'll use it again (and I'm a supporting member)
  2. Sounds like a traditional Basschat relay is in the offing ...
  3. You need wired headphines for this. It's a bluetooth connection to your phone and the app rather than the headphones. But it's a seriously good bit of kit regardless and a bargain price. I would just get this and a pair of wired phones personally. You're probably looking at a Boss Waza Air if you need bluetooth headphone connection (and a bank loan!)
  4. The rising prices of new gear usually means the used market flourishes. Not in this scenario though.
  5. And this is the issue - no one else seems to have any either.
  6. If you fancied a trip to London then the Bass Gallery in Camden probably has the biggest selection of kit in store. Best to go on a weekday and maybe give them a shout prior to your visit. I popped in to PMT in Old St a few weeks back and there was just one Roland bass combo in there 😞
  7. I can never tell whether an amp is going to work for me unless I've used it at a few gigs. Consequently trying them out in-store has always been a waste of time for me. A perfect example of this was when I tried a Mesa D800, Magellan 800 and Darkglass M900 head to head in PMT. The Mesa and Magellan sounded really good and I didn't like the Darkglass much. I ended up with the Mesa, it lasted 2 gigs with the band. I then grabbed the Magellan for a few months - that lasted about 6 gigs and I moved that one on as well. You may be better served by popping a post up on here with a bit of detail about what you think you're looking for, get a few suggestions from the gang (try and establish whether they've actually gigged the amp though) and then look for a used version of the contender. Gig it and if you don't like it just flip it. Think of it as gear rental....
  8. This Warwick one is a good single handled bag https://www.gak.co.uk/en/warwick-rockbag-deluxe-line-bass-guitar-bag/7499
  9. Indeed, its a great bag for the money - I had one. And the first thing I look for in a gig bag is a one piece handle....
  10. Overrated - Mesa Subway D800. Wanted to love it, sounded like it had a blanket over it. Underated - Cort A4 Plus bass. Stunning feel, build quality and sound. Feels like it should be a £2k bass not a £500 one.
  11. 2002 Warwick Corvette Proline WITHDRAWN Flamed maple body, ovangkol neck, wenge fretboard. Light for a Warwick at about 8.5lbs by the bathroom scales method. It was originally ocean blue with gold hardware but has recenty been refinished in a translucent grey/black stain and also had black hardware fitted. Bronze frets polished at the same time along with a good setup. Trussrod moves freely and the neck is straight. There's a teeny ding on the edge of the fretboard at the second fret - I didn't notice it for a few weeks after I bought it but in the interest of no surprises it's there. The neck is the lovely skinny one and not a baseball bat. I would rate the bass as a good 8.5/10 condition at least. EMG Jazz pickups fitted and it has the original MEC active preamp. Volume, pickup pan and stacked bass/treble controls with a pull pot for passive mode. No crackles or issues. Control and pickup cavities are also copper shielded. USA Spector tuners fitted (as the Warwick ones always break) Hipshot Detuner fitted but I'm probably going to keep that as it'll get used on something in the future I expect. Brass JAN3 fitted as well (the edge tabs don't break like on the JAN2's) New stainless strings fitted this week so it's sounding absolutely amazing and playing like a dream. It's a beautiful bass and any issues that you tend to see on Warwicks have been addressed to a great standard. Hard case included. Tea, biscuits and amps all in the house so any trial is welcomed and encouraged. Collection Herts/Essex border or meet up (Essex/Herts/London/North Home Counties/South Midlands/Norfolk/Suffolk/Kent/East Sussex is all doable for me). Sorry, no couriers. No real urges for a trade but you're welcome to ask - I can only say no... Thanks for looking 🙂
  12. I have both the Pro Go and the X series (which I also picked up in a sale a few years back) The Pro Go has a lot more storage and much better padding but is a fair bit heavier. It feels absolutely indestructible as well. A great bag..... I find the front pocket in the X series not so easy to use and it's a bit short of storage. It has an odd G shaped hook which tends to come undone unless it's stuffed. I don't think its worth the full price though. (Theres a top of the line Fender FB1225 bag that I have which is a lot better and cheaper) And the TGI Extreme is good as well.
  13. If you take a look at the other items he has for sale on his ebay there's a 'Nate Mendel style' P bass. Which he will make 'roadworn' at an additional cost. I wonder if he'll make a better job of it.....And his feedback makes it look like he's a trader with plenty of sold items - mainly Fender basses. He knows exactly what he's up to.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325823504735?hash=item4bdc98215f:g:GFUAAOSwoxFlDE0a
  14. Looking at the advert on eBay it seems a bit odd that he has all the case candy and even the correct gig bag. Some of the dings look about in the right place. Could it be that it is a proper roadworn and someone has had a go at 'improving' it?
  15. I would say that you've been done.... looks like a belt sander job on a normal Mexican Jazz to me. Could do with some more and better pictures of the whole bass though.
  16. I'm pretty much done with GAS now. Over the years I've been lucky enough to snag most things that have caught my interest and given them a whirl - I'm at the point now where I have some great sounding gear that works for me and everything is useable/interchangeable in any gig if something goes pop. I have 3 basses - a Zon Sonus Import that would be impossible to replace as they're so rare, a Cort A4 Plus which is just astonishing vfm and a Warwick Corvette Proline with a few upgrades on it. All 3 get gigged and rotated regularly. I love Musicman basses but they never work live for me, I don't really do Fenders or passive stuff. The only thing that might interest me would be a German Warwick Fortress possibly if i got bored with the Corvette but they don't pop up very often within my mental budget and I'm generally happy with the Vette. Main gigging amp is a Mesa BB750 and I have a spare one of those too. A Quilter BB800 covers off lightweight or home use duties and an Orange 4 Stroke fits somewhere between those 2 camps. Cabs are a couple of Barefaced 1x12's that I've had for years and would never have a need to change - they'll handle any gig I'm likely to do. The pedalboard is settled now I've got rid of all the programable stuff and gone down the knobs route. I also managed to snag a spare wireless unit to back up my fave and long discontinued Sony DWZ unit. Lessons would be a much better investment if i had any desire to improve anything now
  17. UFO - Strangers in the Night Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo Both way better than any studio recordings imho
  18. Our singer tried that. Went straight over the pool table and out the door into the street.....
