That was an easy transaction. Have the Babicz bridge Graham put up for sale installed on my bass within 5 days. Had the bridge through the letterbox the day after payment went into the bank. Good packaging too. Cheers dude, the bridge was easy to fit too.

Got the Slow Engine: Auto volume pedal thing. Chello, violin. With a bit of reverb and OC3 I can get a storming backward guitar thing going on. Favourite pedal ever.

My 9.2 and Focus 4x10 still gives me a boner. A/B the rigs if you can but remember that the Genz Benz stuff is awesome. If the TC rig is better I'm all ears though.

One of the reasons I walked out of the shop with mine is because of the hot pre amp. Not much into distortion on bass but the Sub has a big sound. I did lower the pickup a bit. Black & maple, lovely. The Blue teal looks the business though, enjoy.

I've found that my nails come in handy as makeshift tools: getting plugs out of sinks etc. So I've always used them as extra tools for my bass playing. If I want a clear twang for a chord I'll use them to pluck the strings cleanly, if I'm playing hell for leather over the neck pick up I'll dig in and use the nails to get a little more clank and dirt.

Are the screws dead centre from bridge holes to screw holes in the body? If not, the screws may not fit flush to the countersink on the bridge and not screw all the way in.

My big problem was trying to be heard over loud drummers and deafening guitar players. My "technique" was to hit the strings as hard as I could so I would be heard over the apocolypse of noize. After a few years of not playing bass at all, I started to play again and all the old habits came out in force: bad muting; sloppy timing; bad muting. To adress the bad muting I put the amp settings to no bass, all treble and a fuzz box- I could hear every little scrape, overtone and unwanted sound that I didn't want. Helped a lot. Learned to just stop a lot of the unwanted noize that came out of the speakers. Learning to mute those strings, sounds easy but can be a difficult thing to achieve, until you know how to do it easily. Check out Scot Devine on You Tube-invalable.. And this guy. Tokai Jazz basses. 1982. Candy Apple Red, fretted, put a chrome scrachplate on it, real sexy. Fretless Sunburst, just lovely to play. Both sold early 90's because I was skint. And the kicker: Ibanez Ric copy. Bought in 1980 for £70, put Schaller tuners and a really solid Kahler bridge on it. Sold the Ibanez to a good mate who bought it for his brother-nice gesture. Have since replaced the fretless with a VM fretless, the Candy Apple Red with a Geddy Lee and the Ibanez with a European made copy. Thank god I didn't buy the Wal I played in some shop in Soho 30 years ago for peanuts and then sold it on-that would have been a gutter. That was a trully great bass.

i've got a SoundLab Pedal Power 450, does the the trick and they are quite active on here. No complaints.

This would be Joyo pedal ? I have the "Dr J Shadow" Echo box and it does it's thing really well. Have a VT 21 but replaced it with the Joyo "British Sound" pedal. Better to try out first but to be quite honest with but these pedals are decent quality kit. Don't know how long they will last, but changing a switch or knob over the years won't break the bank

Every single cab for bass has it wrong. All of them. Design the perfect box to put amazing sounding speakers in and then put the handles in upside down. Just to make it awkward. It's not just me, surely ?
