1. blah blah blah... I was in that band. Got an old demo tape somewhere.
2. I replaced the awful bridge on a bass with a Babicz. Sounds a lot better, well, to me. Guitar player at rehearsal asked me why I have so much more sustain than I did before. Nice and smooth, no sticky out bits. Ability to lock saddles in place is quite nice. Bear in mind that I replaced a rubbish bridge not a BBOT though.
3. Had a fretless jazz and a fretted Candy Apple Red that I put a chrome scratchplate on. Both quality basses I should never have sold. Thinking about the fretted one the other day, remember having a real good sound out of it. Rose tinted specs maybe but I found some old demos and live recordings and yes, it sounds the business alright. I'd keep that OP if I were you.
4. I have far too many basses. I got a Ric copy last year and feels and sounds perfect. It's the only one I use now apart from the fretless. Something really interesting I found out is that I can get the same sound from pretty much any bass.
5. Try to let it heal. How hard to do you pluck the strings? I had a bit of trouble but now use a lighter touch and turn the amp up. Also try to keep your fingers dry.
6. I have the 9.2 My setting are: Gain at 4 o'clock; Volume at 1 o'clock; Low at noon; Low mids at 1 o'clock; High mids at 2 o'clock; High at noon. Playing classic rock with noisy guitar and drums, no problem cutting through. And sounds great.
7.
They are great basses, I have the 4 string and the neck is amazing quality for the price. Only downside is the preamp is too hot so it doesn't play nice with some pedals. This can be modded however.
This. I bought mine because it played and sounded great. Really comfortable and light too.
8. Great sounding amp. This should sell pretty well. Nice review dude.
9. Learn some Rush songs. "Hey guys, "2112' has some tricky parts but I think we can make it work". "I've nailed all the bass parts". "C'mon guys , lets give this a go". "You can't play this stuff?" "It's been 2 months?........ What songs are your band doing OP? We are here to help you be better
10. The only 5er I heard live that sounded any good was a 5 string Fender Jazz. Mind you, the chap doing the mix was a professor of acoustic engineering. Not knocking 5ers, but.......not for me.
11. Got my Geddy Lee sig because it looked and sounded great. Sunburst. Massive Rush fan, put off thinking of getting one because I didn't want to appear to be a fanboy div. Mainly love the Jazz sound and neck, no changes here, maybe the tuners.

Fingers

Try nickel wound strings. A lot easier on the fingers.
13. No sound clips or anything other than words written down. I just like the idea of this. Could be great, could be pants. At least somebody is having a go. http://forbassplayersonly.com/orange-to-release-new-ob1-bass-amp/
14. Check the voltage selector switch. If it is on the wrong voltage it will be expensive. What happened between checking the head to ensure it worked and switching it on and it not working? We've all done stupid things, this could well be something simple and/or cheap to fix.
15. A mate turned up my dad's funeral some years ago stating that he'd "Managed to score a suit". He couldn't just buy one like a normal person.
16.
I tried, I did, .....I really, really tried to ignore it...... but you know what happens when you've had eight pints of Doombar
I usually want more.
17. Bought a Steinberder S/H. Played it on and for a few months then, no sound. Took the backplate off to fiddle about-there's a battery in it. I didn't know it was an active bass.
18. Have recently gone from: " I don't need no steenking pedals". To:" Ooh, reverb, delay, octaver, Mooer SlowEngine, volume pedal". It sounds like a bass but also like a Cello, or a violin, or a Hammond organ or a set of bass pedals. Or: Like me but sounding mental= all those sounds at the same time. That fills the sound up. Have a good time.
19. It's OK. The first 2 songs would get me liking your band but "Dogfight" is a rocker. You guys take me back to 1981 when I was going to Saxon, Diamond Head, Demon gigs and having a great time. Your tunes are very NWOBHM. If you play some gigs in Wales you can stay at my place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Wave_of_British_Heavy_Metal
20. Ruined a stack of LP's trying to get " That little bit there". This guy helped a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT9gEqur24E
21.
You should see someone about that
The doctor said that it was ok and that I should spread it around a bit>
