1.
Some superglue in the gaps would probably sort that out I'd imagine. Then buff residue flat.
Bugger - wish I'd thought of that before I took it back to Mike Walsh to do the work after I bought it off Chris!!
2. Ah, just seen your tabs - London, our thrubbing metropolis
3. Just a thought, but it might help the fair bassists in this community if you give us a clue as to which part of our sceptred isle the band is twanging in...
4. I can only echo the sentiments of previous posters - Chris was the perfect seller. Not only did he agree to take payment for the lovely Zoot fretless he sold me in two instalments but he regularly dropped me a line to touch bass (whooaahh - puntastic!) in the interim - sometimes about the deal, sometimes just to chat about bassy stuff. A great guy and a fantastic advert for BC; I wouldn't hestitate to deal with him again. Mark
5. How much are you looking for, buddy?
6.
here ya go - i had a bit of spare time this evening - he does quite a bit of sliding to certain notes which i haven't marked out but all the notes/timing are just about right page 1 http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream page 2 http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream hope you'll find it of some help p.s. i hope this isn't betraying any copyright type laws - if anyone thinks it is, let me know and i'll take it down :s
This is the kind of thing that makes me feel all squidgy inside, being a member of this Forum - someone's after some help with a bass part, can't find it anywhere, so someone on here with both the skill and thoughfulness sits down and transcribes it. Thank the Lord for Basschat and its intimidatingly generous and caring members!
7. Real pity you guys aren't slightly closer (I'm over in Chester) as I'd love to have auditioned for you. Still, happy hunting all the same. Mark
8.
RH450 and Barefaced S12T .. Match made in heaven...And it's 4 ohm...And it looks like TC have fessed up and have said the RH450 is stable into 2.5 ish Ohms so you could always add another midget T or Compact.. But personally what I've got is quite loud enough...
+ 1 for this combo. Sounds killer with my Zoot Chaser.
9.
Im seeing the guy tomorrow I will check with him, I believe it was an option to have the side dots in either position.
I didn't realise that - thanks for the clarification. No real surprise when you think about it, I suppose. Being handmade it would have been as easy to do it either way and I'd think players coming to fretless from fretted basses might have felt more comfortable with dots in what they might have thought of as the 'normal' (i.e. between the lines) position. Thanks.
10.
They are between the lines.
Which would suggest it's been de-fretted, I guess?
11.
It looks as though this bass is now sold on a multi installment payment plan. Thanks for looking, folks!
To me, to me! Thanks Chris - really looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty. I bought lfalex's Zoot Chaser last year and had the pre-amp swapped out for an ACG/East EQ 02, which Steve Soar did for me, and it sounds simply killer. The idea of adding a similarly specced fretless Zoot to the stable was just too enticing to pass up, so I'm very grateful to Chris for entertaining my somewhat cheeky suggestion of a small number of staggered payments. You are a gent, sir! Mark
12. Well done, gents. Even I'm finding my way around pretty easily - and I'm a complete changeaphobic! Looking good.
13. Sounds like an interesting project. I'll be keeping my eye on this one...
14.
The neck width is 16mm at the top nut
-type confused bump
15. Steve's done some work for me too - absolutely top guy who does a really good job. He's over in Birkenhead - a 25 minute zip down the M53.
16. Someone put the man out of his misery! Roscoes are fabulous instruments and I have no doubt this one will make someone out there a very happy bunny indeed!
17. Tried one of these at Promenade in Morecombe a few months back and only just stopped myself digging out my credit card there and then. And that one was priced at over £2k new! Fabulous bass and a very fair price, sir. If I hadn't just paid the deposit on my ACG...
18.
You MUST put a price in your advert according to forum rules. Please do this now.
There's one in the subject line...
19. Just noticed that this thread has consecutive members - Bloodaxe and Mike - posting. How coincidental is that?! Out of 20,000-odd BC-ers!
20. Yeah, I played this for a short while in our set too. I seem to remember the bass part feeling kind of fat and slow, which smacked of dropped tuning to me at the time - Eb would make sense then on a 4 string. I don't think we bothered and just did it in E though. It's got one nice little lick in it, I think, but boring as hell apart from that - IIRC.

22. OBBM. Would not now buy anything else. And for those who - like me - had cables originally made up with the Van Damme cable, I can strongly reccommend having another made up with the Klotz cable that Dave is now offering. I thought the difference was quite significant. Pip pip! BC
23. 2 wheels and tilt back with a handle. They are fixed over the rear angle and at the same height resting as the front feet. You just tilt it back and away you go! I think someone posted photos from an earlier review with a comment that they were a work or art in thelves (or something!). It's absolute piece of cake to move anywhere.

25.
Hi there, last Tuesday I collected my RH450 and had a go with my Status basses at home. I do not know what my neighbours think...BUT I must say that this little beast sounds great! I have the impression that my basses sound more natural than through my (now ex-)Markbass TA501 which is a great amp, but seems now a bit harsh compared to the RH450. The TC is maybe not so loud and you have to crank the highs a bit to get that nice high end zing, but has a more organic sound, at least to my ears. This may be also due to the 2 small EBS Neo cabs (110 & 112) I use with the head and this could change using different cabs, but I am extremely happy so far. The footswitch is another great addition too. Will update my review once I gigged it! Any suggestions regarding the ideal cabs for the RH450? need something very light and portable, I am looking at the TC RS112, has anyone tested these yet? Cheers, Stefano
Stefano, I use my RH450 with a Barefaced Super Twelve T (2x12) and couldn't be happier. The cab weighs in at a little over 40lbs and, together with the amp, is the finest sounding combination I've owned in thirty years of playing. Got mine made with the 'old skool' silver cloth option and it looks the dog's too!
