Hi, not sure I've I've got deja vue, or whether I've contacted you before? We formed a group about 3 months ago that hasn't amounted to anything, so we are trying to get like-minded people together in the new year to form a really good covers band. We want to do covers from Rolling Stones, Dr Feelgood, Neil Young, right through to Kings of Leon, Miles Kane, Vintage Trouble. We are putting adverts out for a drummer and rhythm guitarist, and a bassist. I am the lead guitarist, got lots of gear and all the band gear we'll ever need. We rent a rehearsal room in Prestwich Manchester for about £125 per month between us. My wife, Joy, sings backing with some songs of her own, and we have a couple of possible lead singers to try out for us. Hi guys, thanks for all the nice words, however, it's been too difficult to get things together with this band, so we are disbanding Strewth and concentrating on a new project doing more up-to-date numbers and Indie music. thanks everyone Ash

oh dear, we thought we had a bassist, but it didn't work out. We've had a few people contact us but somehow they either don't want to play covers, or don't want to play rock or blues. Anyway, we'll be changing our advert again to try to get somebody onboard. Ash

Strewth is now disbanded, shame because we put loads of energy and money into it, as we all know you do with a band, but it's onwards and upwards with a new project! cheers Ash We are forming a new band called Warwick (just because that is the street where we rehearse!) doing covers from stones to vinatage trouble. Just need some people with a mature attitude to rehearsing, and to have fun and to get out and gig to entertain people. It's hard work but it's worth it in the end. Hi, we are a band called Strewth and we are looking for a bassist to complete our lineup. You sound like-minded for what we are hoping to achieve -to have a laugh, but to rehearse seriously and to get out gigging and entertaining people. We do cover by artists such as the Rolling Stones, Dr Feelgood, Neil Young, The Doors, The Blues Bros etc. We consist of Dave on lead vocals and electro acoustic, Joy on backing vocals and some lead vocals, me (Ash) on lead guitar, and Neil on drums. Our ages rang from mid 40s to mid 50s, and we have rehearsal rooms in Prestwich Village, all the equipment we need, and we are keen to get on with our set list. We are nice people, we get on well, no big egos. We´ve had a break for the last few weeks for holidays.
