1. That was my local and the first place I gigged.. Really sad day as the Kings Head was a kind of institution. All of us new that things were not going to last as soon as Phil left the pub. Real shame.
 2. One Advice guys, once your item has been sold please can you change the title to "SOLD" that way we can avoid situations like this one.
 3.
LJ is great but not one to follow as his style is very much his own..plus he beats his hands up so much that you'll be storing up so much trouble for them later, IMV But sure, his work with Quncy Jones' production house was defintive of the time, pretty much.
Not to mention you'll need a new bass every 3 months.. That guy beat the hell out of that MusicMan.
 4.
Paul Rogers version of 'Good Morning Little School Girl' (tribute to Muddy cd) is quite disturbing and sounds (to me anyway) very sleazy. I skip over that track as I find it uncomfortable. However, Muddy Waters' redition, on the Anthology cd, causes no such concern. It was 'Claire' saying to her Uncle Ray that she wanted to marry him, not the other way round on Gilbert O'Sullivan's recording. Nothing untoward there.
Now that you mention Paul Rodgers what about "I'll be creeping" that's a very disturbing one.
 5.
I'm currently using a Peavey Tour 700 and Warwick 1x15 and 2x10 cabs and am quite happy with that for the time being. But if Roland were to re-release their DB-210 combo and powered extension cab then I'd be very tempted...
I've been using the Tour 450 into a BFM Omni 10 (2x10) and it super fantastic, lightweight and powerful. I have an extra Warwick 2x10 that's been collecting dust since my Omni arrived. I haven't need anything else even for big venues. Those Peavey Tours are great!
 6. No it is not, on the other hand they do a very good Sansamp impression.
 7.
Beck is my fave 'rock' guitarist ever - tone to die for and a massively original style, exquisite phrasing - great taste in bass players too: Tal, Doug Wimbish, Pino, Mike Mondesir, Randy Hope Taylor to name but a few - Vinnie Collaiuta ain't too shabby either
I was about to post something in the same line but you - as usual - beat me to it. I can only point out the Vinnie is a great drummer with a great taste on women too, he's supposely Tal's boyfriend. Lucky B@st@rd!!
 8. What Lawrence means is that "Taper" or logarythmic pots tend to do this, you should use linear "B" pots if you want to have that in between option. The taper are more popular among guitarrists as they normally to use them full on. I had the same problem and changed all my pots for linear "B" and I'm a happy man now.
 9. If I'm not wrong they were designed by Rob Green.

 12.
I have to come clean, JT was the main reason i took up bass. Personal favourites are.... Fame Tiger Tiger New Religion Go to Zero ( Powerstation) So Misled Rio Such an under rated player (IMHO)
Go to zero was recorded by Guy Pratt, he contributed with the name of the song and some of the lyrics too.
