2. Yeah, but I bet Al would swop a tiny bit of his talent for all that face fungus!

4.
Parcelfarce charge a £12 handling charge - but to be fair to them it's the same if the duty is £3 or £3000 quid.
I don't think it's fair. I just found out Halifax are charging £1 a day for agreed overdrafts, be they 50p or £500. That's a bit unfair too IMO! It's all about squeezing the little people....
5. So that's why the Stones didn't get anywhere until 1992?
6. Sold me a Strat - it arrived, well packed, the next day! Top man.
7. Hog's Back Hotel Farnham, last night. 15 narrow stone steps...BUPA membership recommended!
8.
You interviewed WZ? How terribly cool (or maybe not!). Telephone, or face-to-face?
In person. I also made the mistake of bringing Barney Hoskyns book 'Waiting For The Sun' (story of LA music) to read on the train. He saw it, grabbed it and started foaming at the mouth about how wrong it all was, jabbing his finger at specific pages! However the previous night I got to see him play on Jools Holland where he met (and I saw) Joe Strummer for the first time. So thanks, Warren, for that. Never meet your heroes! Now, with apologies, back to Bob Glaub...
9. Heard Jackson Browne Running On Empty on he radio a couple of nights ago - thanks Simon Mayo - think BG was on that. On a tangent, Zevon was the only musician I ever interviewed who turned out to be a total sh&%. Decided there and then I wouldn't let my personal opinion of a musician get in the way of enjoying the music. That man had good taste in bass players but a giant chip on both shoulders - 'Why did everyone else make it and I didn't'? Oh, and don't read his book, that's even sadder...rant over, back to Bob Glaub!
10. We play this song at the start of every function gig - I really better go back and listen to the original. We kick off the second set with Money For Nothing - with luck, alcohol has been consumed and the place starts to jump. Gawd bless da Straits!
11. It was Rick Wright actually - Mason never left (though he didn't always play on the records!)
12. I'm amazed Dickies got through the profanity filter...
13. A message from Chas Hodges regarding the Chas & Dave show at the 100 Club on October 9th: "Sadly Dave's beloved wife Sue passed away in July this year after over 30 years of blissful marriage. Understandably Dave has taken his loss very badly and he hasn't the heart to continue gigging and with regret he has decided to retire from the music business. "But with his support, I shall be taking over the 100 Club show which will contain all the Chas & Dave hits & more. "Here's to my friend's future health & happiness. In the meantime, come down & enjoy a great show on October 9th!
14. Sorry mate - but then we don't need any more P basses between us do we!? PS Got the ashtray today - donation to follow, many thanks.
