1. Damn this phone! Briley played both hence the 2x neck. In fact I believe he was a six stringer by trade...
2.
I can't remember them ever having a guitar player on their recordings. Am I wrong (I know it's unlikely but it has happened before)?
3. Greenslade were the first band I ever interviewed as a student, 1974. We'll never have a guitarist, they said. They lied...
4. Ah, got wrong end of stick! Tony Reeves used precision on first three, can't remember what Martin Briley used - you could be right!
5. Sorry, crap answer typed on phone. Not their best album, and I always thought them prog rather than jazz.
6. My mobile says 'is that a classic j...' If jazz album, ok. It doesn't measure ip to their first 3 rock albums either IMO. If I am wrong in my guess, apologies.
7. Probably cos you gave him an extra c
8. Sold me an italia bass which was an object lesson in packaging - top man.
9. Reading his autobiography (ghosted by/written with his daughter) on Kindle - a bargain at 99p! (Honestly). Makes you realise - as if we didn't - how much luck plays a part in things. And yes, he's right IMO to have the hump on the writing front given what he put into songs. White Room wouldn't be the same without his odd time-signature intro. The lucky man in the right place at the right time was Pete Brown. A millionaire due to a year's supply of crappy sixth-form poetry!!

11. You really should use the PM function for offers...
12. Declaring an interest as I am his pal and put the money up to publish it, Deke Leonard's Rhinos Winos and Lunatics. It turned him from a guitarist (with Welsh band Man) to an author, and he's since written two more. He has a Facebook page for his latest effort, The Twang Dynasty - http://www.facebook.com/twangdynastybook. In terms of mixing music, info and humour I really think he's in a class of his own.
13. I have finished his book but no- one has yet pm'd me to read it!!
