Now if it had been salmon pink... just a yellow!😁

You’d have been sacked from the Shads turning up with that!😮

Be interesting to see how that compares. I have two BF One10s and am considering an Elf...

Colin travelled halfway round the M25 to buy my Barefaced cab, and is a straight up fella. Deal with confidence. Thanks, mate.

And how has it done?

I was surprised how many notes Dave plays, Pete, but without seeming over busy. Also, saw on YouTube he played a P the previous night in Pontardawe, so Is clearly not wedded to one guitar. Recall seeing him once play a Lakland J first half, P second half...or was it t’other way around? Anyhow, you have good taste old chap!

Just to revive the thread, Dave was playing a Lakland Jazz (modified bridge?) with Andy FL at Wimborne last night through a MarkBass 18 plus head. He was excellent as always!

The Jazz pickup is a mod, right?

Tull's latest box set - four CDs comprising album (CD1), out-takes/bonus tracks (CD2) and a previously unreleased 1980 concert (CDs 3,4). Then two DVDs with the obligatory SurroundSound etc mixes. Not to mention the heavily illustrated mini hardback book. Here's all the bells and whistles... https://burningshed.com/jethro-tull_stormwatch-fortieth-anniversary_boxset New, sealed copy. £22 posted.

Trace Elliott ELF vs TC Electronic BAM200 opinions?
Mickeyboro replied to Dennis1971's topic in Amps and Cabs
Tried one in a shop last week, but didn’t rate it as highly as the GK MB200 I own. Theres s difference in size, but I go for the GK sound any day. -
Never. He’s the best TV host, ineee?😂

Cheers, my friend. 🙏 I will be using the Guild B301F fretless for my sins, which I have only ever played once in public. Wish me luck...😬

should bands carry on when there's only one original member?

Not quite the same, but I remember Gary Rossington tell me that Lynyrd Skynyrd (who Quo recently supported) have to make something like 125 per cent of the gross every night to pay the widows and orphans of the deceased originals who gave them permission to re-form. That’s one heck of a lot of t-shirts...😈 -
That’s why he often wears a hat, Keith! 😈 And if we are going back that far, do people know the song was an attack on the Sutherland Bros for trying to steal Ace’s bass player? Hence a very appropriate choice by the OP.

If you consider it took five musicians to record the original, why did it need more people to create less?

Sure you’re right, and they’re good, but the irony is Andy Fairweather Low is still alive and touring. He is exceptionally good, and an ace guitarist (of which I was ignorant for ages). He is not keen on outsiders using the name... -

The Bootleg Beatles have been together far longer than the real thing were. And they’re very good. The Feelgoods relaunched with the last lineup that backed Lee. He wanted them to continue, and given the number of tributes - many of a high standard - why shouldn’t they? Also, every member of Dr Feelgood still earns from them thanks to ‘fifth member’/manager Chris Fenwick. That can’t be bad... -
On Friday 4th October at the Memorial Centre in New Milton the band I’m in, State of Undress, will be playing their only gig of the year. As if that wasn’t important enough, it’s a charity show for a very good cause indeed. Four members of the same musical family - Josh Rose drummer with rock band Saints of Sin; Charlie Rose lead singer and Alan Rose guitarist with fiddle-fuelled band State of Undress; and country-music artist Ben Caleb Rose - have come together to put on an epic and fun evening of music to raise money for two little girls, Lexie and Isabelle, who have both recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. The reason we haven’t played any gigs this year was our singer Charlie Rose also having to deal with serious illness. She is now fit, feisty and ready to frolic, so we hope that this will mark the joyous rebirth of the band. We play folk-rock, the headliners Saints of Sin are apparently stadium rock... so bring your earplugs!😉 Needless to say, I am hoping many of my musical friends can attend. It will be an emotional and, above all, entertaining evening of original music, so please do come if you can. Late PS: Opener Ben Rose is no longer available, so we will be doing a longer set! The Gig for Lexie and Isabelle is at New Milton Memorial Centre, Whitefield Road, BH25 6DE on Friday 4th October. Doors open 7.00pm. Tickets are £10.00 (plus £1.08 booking fee) from www.memcentre.co.uk/gigforlexieandisabelle . Tickets will also be available on the door. Mickeyboro
