1. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/151489321854 Early Aria Pro II P bass. Bit grotty but could end up being a bargain especially as it's collection only.
2. Love how the bass tech(?) just fits right in when the bass is handed to him! Edit: Checking out other videos I see that that's his regular bassist.
3.
Always my first choice when looking to makea purchase. Something to think abou though is that you obviously get euro plugs on everything. Not a problem for some things, but buying something with a dedicated power supply means you may have to purchase a UK one seperately.
They've always sent me an English power lead as well as the original euro lead when I've bought from them, which is why I have a drawer full of euro power leads
4. Great video!
5.
I have no idea. He requested payment by Paypal for the bass. I set up a new Paypal account. He provided an email address to pay to. I followed Paypals instruction and paid my Paypal via my credit card. As I paid by Paypal and they say they offer protection, it is more to do with them. Otherwise I would not have bought the bass. When I set this Paypal up on the night, it was set up so my credit card would be used to pay the Paypal bill. I have little issue with them charging me as long as it offers protection. It appears it doesn't. Late last night I got am email, from the same email address as the seller. The person stated he was the son of the seller and that the seller had died on Tuesday night. The person stated he would get round to sorting out "loose ends" in a week or two.
This has SCAM all over it in massive red letters. Luckily it was via your credit card, you should be able to get it back as it was over £100. Got a link to the original listing at all?
6.
Of course they'll moan at you if you mention moving on - you're their free ride / meal ticket / whatever! I organise a band, but I run it as a benevolent dictatorship, where I am the sole trader and the other guys are effectively subcontractors. They are absolutely fine with this - they know how much we all get, and they also know I will never be into them to pay for things like demo CDs or rehearsals. The upside for me is control (bwahahaha!); the downside for me is all the grief that goes with it, but at least I am paying myself a bit extra for that.
Snap!
7. Two-pin plug types that always come with the stuff I get from Thomann. I have 2 of these going for anyone that wants them, but there must be thousands around in the UK - wonder if we could do something with them all?
8. Bump for price reduction - it is extremely unlikely that you will see one of these for sale anytime soon.
9.
I do - I find it very disappointing when he shows up looking like an accountant on dress-down Friday. Button-down collars? He used to look like this, for God's sake!!
A rare sighting of the first male camel toe.
10. Ooo nice - trade for a Thunder II (dual P version with XLR)?
11. Still here, sitting in it's case, not being played...
12. The only reason I haven't bought this is that my fretless Daion is so good I have no need of the fretted version.
13. Wow - thanks for that information Richard!
14. Just because the cost of international shipping and import duties would put it out of my budget
15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-GRECO-GOB-1200-bass-guitar-w-soft-case-RefNo-51313-/181573635825?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 Oh my days that is one gorgeous Greco. If this was in UK it would be mine now.
16.
Get a Trace Elliot Status T-Bass! Picked mine up for buttons and the quality and sound is brilliant! Active/Passive toggle you know
I want one as my 4 string is soooo good - do you know of any for sale?
17. Ask for a TC Electronic RH450 with the footswitch - you get a free amp with it too!
18. What kind of partial trades would you be interested in?
19.
My nearest gig/town from home other than the village pub is 7 miles away up a winding hilly lane, so as Duncan would say "amm ooot"
I live fairly near the city centre, so it's busy, but there are lots of cycle lanes and it's 2 miles max to any of the venues I use the trailer for. Any further, or having to go on a main road, and I wouldn't use it I don't think.
20. We play this occasionally in our set - love it!
21.
I fancied trying an Apieron 5 or however its spelt
If you're ever in Cardiff, you can have a try of mine
22. There's no brake on the trailer, I just make sure my bike brakes are in good nick and don't go nuts down the hills.
