1. Bought a TC RC4 from Chris, good guy to deal with and good fun negotiating!
2. Nick bought my TC Electronic Classic 450. A pleasure to deal with
3. Mike bought my EUB - great guy to deal with!
4.
I bought Chay's NS WAV. He was very patient with my car troubles and eventually I managed to collect it. Nice guy, good deal, no problems. This is the second bass I've bought from him, and if that Thunder II goes up for sale... Recommended
That Thunder II IS up for sale! Great to meet you, realised afterwards that my hospitality skills were lacking - didn't even offer a cup of tea! But that's what 36 hours without sleep does to me..
5.
Oh yes, forgot to say. The weight of the bass is 4.5 kg. or 9.14 pounds so it's not the lightest bass ever but it balances extremely well. No neck dive or anything like that. I'm mentioning this because the original Aria basses from the late 70's early 80's had a tendency to weigh the same as a ships anchor
I believe the correct unit of measurements is 'Belgiums' Bumps must observe the 36-hour rule though, as per the pinned topic at the top of this forum. Nice bass!
6.
Absolute disaster of a gig filling in for a wedding pop covers band on Sunday night. Long post, but this is a bit of a rant. {Snip}.. and the band owner is down money because of it!
Demanding money with menaces, breach of contract - should have had the police help him get it back for the first or sue for the second.
7. Am I left handed then? Makes sense, the fretting hand does more work...
8. Westone Thunder II - the first version with (as you can see) twin P's XLR output with LED - I haven't seen another one like it before or since although there are others with XLR outs (without the LED) and a couple with a twin XLR/1/4" Jack input. Beautiful bass that sounds as good as it looks. I'm selling this as... well, I'm fickle! Here's some info: http://www.westone.i...under2bass.html I'm asking for £[s]425 NOW £380! [/s]NOW £300!!!! but try me for trades - anying unusual should pique my interest - if you have a Daion Power XX especially! Pictures!:
9. Bought Paul's RH450 - easy as pie transaction at a very fair price - Thanks Paul!
10. Bought a Zoom B3 from Marek. Well packaged and quick arrival (the pedal that is) means I'd happily deal with him again!
11. I've had that email today too. Had my full name at the top which makes me wonder if something's been hacked somewhere...
12.
Oops, thanks mister. I had a misplaced period.
Always a messy business.
13. I would love to buy this if you'll allow me to send you the packaging and hard case and book the couriers.
14.
Eloquent as ever. I'm sick of selfish b@stards ruining my view of musicians I've paid a small fortune to see and hear. I don't give a fcuk that this is "modern times and technology, get used to it." and "It's my right." No it's not, it spoils it for others who are more considerate and go to see the show. Yes, included are the tw@ts who hoist their equally tw@tty bints on to their shoulders, obscuring others view. As has been said, it wouldn't happen in the theatre or classical show.
Maybe there's money to be made in making an app the simply dims the screen when filming so as not to distract others.
15.
I do like his Yamaki-era Washburn Vulture II - never seen a blue one before, & it's interesting to see the differences between this & the later Matsumoku build, like mine. J.
I would've thought the bridge would be different, probably not strung-through on the Mats version - different tuner ears too possibly?
16. This guy has a LOT of very sexy Japanese basses for sale on eBay - I want about 8 of them! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw=&item=111430412627&pt=Guitar&_osacat=0&hash=item19f1c52953&_ssn=solemettere&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xbass&_nkw=bass&_sacat=0&_from=R40
