1. I reckon a 450W head with some kind of touch screen controls.
  2.
Having had a couple of bits for free off here, I'm offering the results of my clearout. First up: a headset thingy, made by creative, has been used, is surplus to requirements. Pay postage and this wonderous object could be yours, all yours. J
Let me know how much postage is and I'll take it off your hands. Cheers, Ray
  3. Anyone fancy some sprouts? 4. Sold my Squier VMJ to Rich. No fuss deal - top chap. Enjoy it Rich. Cheers, Ray
  5. GAS got the better of you Russ? Just got a Marcus myself and they are fantastic basses. This used to be mine and I missed it the moment it left my house. So much so that I bought another 'ray 2 days later. If I had the cash I'd have it back without hesitation but I'm skint at the mo' Unless you fancy a trade for an 08 Blizzard Pearl / Rosewood USA Precision Good luck with the sale.
  6.
If you like a boring generic sound, get the jazz. (i have both)
Boring and generic are not adjectives I associate with any of my jazzes (Lakland DJ4, Fender Marcus Miller and a Reggie Hamilton) I own a Stingray too. Whilst it's a punchy, slap monster it is nowhere near as versatile as the Jazzes. So my vote goes to the Jazz.

    V Bass patches

I am finally up and running with one of the older units. So far I've been having loads of fun playing around with the presets (and annoying the GF by playing Michael Jackson basslines with the synth sounds. LOL) Does anyone have any patches they could share before I dive into the editing maze? A J or Stingray type patch would be fab. Either sysex files or even just the settings written down would be great. Cheers, Ray
  8. Now sold pending the usual. Thanks for the interest guys and cheers for the bumps!
  9. Available again.
  10.
Why are people thinking that they won't get their money back? Just seems to be a lot of scaremongering going on here.
+1 I bought approx £300 worth of gear this week from Reverb which was delivered on time with no problems.
Still looking for any trades for it.....would accept cash as well. Looking for about £230 as this bass is almost brand New. Just a wee thought. If the right deal came along I might trade my Schecter Baron H Bass and my Schecter Ultra electric Guitar together for the right bass if anyone was interested. - This is just a shot in the dark though. Any questions or pictures wanted please just ask. Thanks Mike
This still available?
  12. Due to my acquisition of a Marcus Miller Jazz it's now time to move on my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz. I have modified it by adding a set of Wizard 64s, a Badass II bridge and upgraded pots. I've changed the pickguard for a white one but I will also include the original black one. The decal of a well known American guitar builder whose name begins with the letter 'F' has also found its way onto the headstock (I know, I know!) This is in excellent condition and comes with a gig bag. I'm looking for £200 which I think is pretty reasonable given the mods cost me over £120. Could be tempted to trade for a 4 or 5 string fretless, a semi acoustic (Ibanez Artcore or similar) or a fretted 5er. Would rather not post due to lack of hard case but can meet up in Manchester/Cheshire/Lancs/W Yorks. Cheers, Ray Some quick pics. The holes in the control plate are because the plate is from a J Retro. I will put the correct plate back before selling. Any blemishes are a product of my poor pics. I will get better pics up ASAP. 13. Now traded with someone with longer arms!
  14. Think it was Mark Adams from the band "Slave".
  15.
Audere 4 band pre - £90 Sadowsky pre in a box with DI - £90 Want both you know you do.
I presume the Sadowsky is the older "belt clip" type?
  16.
I will look when I get home. Can't listen at work. If it's anything that could be described as "Jazz" or its kiddy-fiddling cousin "Fusion", then I'm setting fire to my face.
Better get the lighter fluid out. EDIT: Beaten to it :-D
  17. Dave bought my Korg AX3000B. No nonsense deal, would definitely deal with again. Cheers Dave. Enjoy it!

    NEW Roland Vbass

Received my GK3B in the post today (sadly my VBass has not turned up yet) How does the control unit which affixes to the bass fare when the bass is put into a case or gig bag? It looks pretty susceptible to damage. Ped, how do you get on with yours attached to the rear of your bass?
  19. Price reduced to £950.
  20.
think you could be right tauzero, just put a meter on it and nothin??? whats the point of an xlr with no power??? why not another 1/4 jack input?
Because it's balanced. They could have put a TRS 1/4" jack input as a balanced input but it makes sense to have two different connector types when one is balanced and one isn't.

    SX pron.

I love those artec pups. I got some from Prose that I've put in my Reggie Hamilton Jazz. The soloed bridge burps like a good un. Great value and I reckon they sound better for the stuff I do (funk, soul) than the Wizard 64s I put in another Jazz.
  22.
Are Lancastrians allowed to come? Only if they don't mention Football and bring lots of nice bass gear which we confiscate at the border!
Count me in. Should be fun.
  23. 50th birthday party last night to a really enthusiastic crowd of about 120. They were up dancing straight away and stayed on the floor all night. We did manage to tire them out somewhat with our 15 minute Chic medley though! Decent sized stage for a change. With 8 of us we're usually crammed together like sardines so it was nice to have some space to move around. I could have a couple of pints as well as my GF agreed to pick me up. Bonus. I took the Lakland DJ4 and my Cairnes Stingray and managed to get a great sound straight off from the 'ray. Even with both pickups on, the DJ was buzzing like a beehive however. After switching off some of the fluorescents I managed to tame it but I think it's time to get it properly shielded. Strange that the guitarist wasn't having any probs with his unshielded single coiled Strat though. Hmm. Overall a great night - the band really seem to have gelled now (we've only been together 5 months) and I'm really enjoying my playing. Next gig is a wedding on the 27th. I can't wait.
  24. Way to ruin James' chance of selling these BB. You might as well have posted a reply saying "DO NOT BUY THESE CDS. THEY ARE sh*t"
  25.
Pm sent Dave
Replied. Korg sold. Just the Behringer Octave pedal left.
