1.
Sorry - Warwicks are not my thing (the only one I really like is the Dolphin Pro 4). Strangely enough, I like the Status Energy you are selling but the difference in value is so substantial that a trade wouldn't make any sense
I've got a Dolphin Pro 1 that I'd consider trading but I suspect you'd also want a wad of cash (which I don't have at the mo' )
 2.
iv emailed him asking about it if the reply is 'yes, its a genuine musicman pickup', then we know that this is certainly not a stock bass, and therefore a marker to stay clear.
I have definitely seen one of these for sale on a Japanese webstore site within the past few months so it may not be as dodgy as you think. I'll try and find a link later as I'm currently in the pub :-)
 3.
I have his email as he replied to me ... "selling for a friend"
Hmmm...
 4.
It's a CMD151P, you can tell with the carry handle on the top, and RRP is £1K+. I'm still not sure this "ebay links" forum is a good idea. I quite fancied bidding for this if it stayed on the cheap side but now I have to bid against you guys too. Anybody else feel this way.
My bad. You're right - it is the 15 incher so his price is pretty much spot on. I'm not bidding on it though- I already have a lurrrrvelly Markbass rig. I see where you're coming from about this forum - The Lakland Darryl Jones that I thought had been flying under the radar has now been unmasked here. Bah! Then again it has alerted me to some absolute bargains (a 5 string for £15!) as well.
 5.
Not sure about the 600 watts claim (surely it's 500 at 4 ohms?) and it doesn't look like the current model but may be a bargain at the mo ... Chap has a nice Lady Penelope Pink 'Ray for sale too
It's a CMD 121P and is 500W at 4 Ohms like you say. He's talking crap to say he paid over £1k for it unless he got a very bad deal. He also says it's digital which it isn't. Even so, could turn out to be a good buy.

 7. 8 piece soul / funk band - Bass, Drums, Guitar, 2 vocals, Keys, Trumpet, Sax.
 8.
Looks kick ass but how would I power it?
I'd knock up some kind of crazy magnetic induction system - powered by the movement of your fingers. The faster you play, the brighter it gets. The only downside is you'd have to wear thimbles.

 10. My 08 American Standard P wasn't great when I first received it - high action, intonation out, uneven neck pocket gap. However, after a pro set up it is undoubtedly the best playing bass I own (and I own a few!). Tonally it's a bit of a one trick pony (it's a P after all and I can always add a J pup at the bridge) but it just feels right.
 11.
You can't really (IMHO) slag off Fender (or anyone else) for the quality of a route that is covered by the scratch plate, which, after all, is a standard part of the instrument. It's a bit like buying a car, taking the bonnet off and then complaining thet the engine isn't very pretty.
Yes but that 1oz of wood makes all the difference tone wise.
 12. The guitarist Eric Gales plays a right handed guitar flipped over (i.e lefty but not restrung - high E on top) but is actually right handed. Weirdo!
 13.
would have had six if you include the spare wheel & the steering wheel
Smartarse.
 14.
I saw a taxi today with the numberplate BA55 ERB. Strange world.
Would've been cool if it had 5 wheels.
 15.
Coffee table/exotic wood basses Basses with more than 4 strings Headless basses Signature instruments (in this case basses) Warwick Gold plated hardware Active basses
Guess you won't be buying one of these soon then? http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/nobby_meidel.html Pity they don't do a 5er otherwise that'd be all your hates in one bass.
 16.
1. Warwick basses, never played one I've liked yet, not very well made in my experiance, and don't sound that good
Zing! That's all my gear slagged off in one thread. Do I win a prize?
 17. Fender? Check! Stingray? Check! Markbass? Check! Any Warwick haters want to chime in so that all my gear has been slagged off ?
 18.
Hi all Put some new strings on today and wanted to alter the bridge , tried all the keys I've got , cant beleive its less than 1.5mm, is this right and if so what size should I be looking at. Cheers Plumbob
Off the top of my head it's 1/20" or approx 1.3mm
 19. Is it this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-Electric-Bass...id=p3286.c0.m14
 20.
Just had an email from ebay saying that the final value fee goes up to 10% next month !!
Do they not have enough money already? Jeez!
 21.
And a 59 Ric for twenty one grand, looks nice though. 22. My first bass was a borrowed shortscale Kay EB/SG copy. It came strung with flats and had a single mudbucker - not exactly the best setup for copying the sound of my then hero, Mark King. It sounded absolutely terrible but I thought I was sooooo cool 'playing' Hot Water at 40BPM with the strap set as short as possible and a piece of insulation tape wrapped round my thumb.
 23.
Yea sorry, ignore me it's sorted now. I have seperate bridge raising allen key jobbies on my other bass and had a bit of a blonde moment wondering where the same thing was on my dean... d'oh! lol!
24. Does it not have the little allen key grub screws like this? : http://www.deanguitars.com/dean_winter_07/...az_enlarged.htm
 25.
What difference does it make?
[Morrissey] It makes none But now you have gone And you must be looking very old tonight. [/Morrisssey]
