  1. I used to have a Musicman Sabre with fretted and fretless Gordon necks. The fretless had a brass slap plate at the end of the fretboard which brightened up the slap sound a little but also protected the end of the fretboard. If I was going down the fretless route again I would have one fitted.
  2. @Auslander Shadowalka doesn't seem to have visited this thread in a while. The bass was put up for sale a month or so ago in Bass Direct and it looks like they sold it. Maybe try PM'ing him? Good Luck.
  3. They do take a little bit of getting used to but worth persevering. I'd rather feel slightly isolated for short periods than very isolated 24/7 from not using them. YMMV :-)
  4. +1000000000000000000000000000 In all the thousands of pounds I have spent over the years on different guitars, amps, pedals, cables etc I can easily say that the molded earplugs I have are the best money I've spent on musical equipment. No more ringing ears, discomfort etc. I can hear the band better. Mine are the earlier Elacin ER15's (about 10+ years old), still going strong but I'm thinking of treating myself to a new updated pair.
  5. You can get PCI to PCIE adapters off 'tinternet.
  6. Strange....I'm on Win10 and currently using a 2496 PCI card. I can't get the MAudio software interface up but the card is running and I can access the SPDIF settings etc through Windows standard menus. (Just read your full post and notice you don't have a spare socket...oops)
  7. I know who the seller was as he's a local musician. To be truthful I was just a little tempted myself :-)
  8. You'd need to move the bridge......and all the frets! Best just buy a 35 if you really want one :-)
  9. For sale is my virtually unused and definitely unmarked Hercules GS401 acoustic guitar stand. These are £25 new.
  10. For sale is a AKG D112 mic. These are usually used on kick drums but can be used on bass cabs. It comes with a K&G 25950 mic stand. Both in very good condition and fully working. New these would be £150.

  13. As part of my ongoing equipment change out I have 1 pair of Bose MK II speakers complete with lids (all catches working). I have only used these as monitors (controlled by a DBX Driverack – not included) but they can be used as PA tops. With the curved front (120 degree dispersion) we found them great for monitoring as everyone could hear what was coming out, not just those stood directly in front. Nominal impedance: 8 ohms Power handling capacity 240W continuous pink noise, 55Hz – 16kHz Connectors: Two (2) parallel-wired retrofitted Speakon and two (2) parallel-wired male XLR connectors Dimensions 13" (H) x 201⁄2" (W) x 121⁄2" (D) (33 x 52 x 32 cm) Weight 34 lb (15.5 kg)
  14. Does this mean that your main issue is with your left hand only? Are you having to press heavily on the strings to fret cleanly? What is the measurement from the top of fret 1 to the bottom of each of your strings? What bass are you playing?
  15. I’m now asking £180 for the lot I’m currently changing out my lighting equipment and have 2 sets of Botex T4 Lighting showbar, par 56 cans, 300w bulbs, flightcases, cables & stands. They are fully working and come complete with Protex flight cases. The bars can be used independently and as a linked pair as well as being controlled using DMX. Information, manuals and pricing is easily available on the internet and the whole setup would have originally cost nearly £750. All the units and cases are in full, good working order.
  16. For sale or trade is my spare Stagg +48v phantom power supply useful for condenser mics etc. Its in good condition and had very little use as one I had bought it I changed my mixer to one with +48v on board.
  17. I’m currently changing out my lighting equipment and have 2 x iMove IM-5S moving heads complete with Prolight flight cases, DMX cables, spare bulbs and install brackets. The heads can be used independently and as a pair but the most flexibility and control comes with the iSolution DMX controller included in the sale. Information, manuals and pricing is easily available on the internet and the whole setup would have originally cost nearly £900. All the units and cases are in full, good working order. I’m asking £240 for the lot
  18. I use a Tecamp Puma 900 which has a "Taste" knob (who comes up with these names??) which allows you to dial in either a more old school or hi-fi tone. Or a Demeter HBP-1 800D but these are now direct from the USA (I think?)
  19. 3 or 4 knob? With plate? With knobs? With VTC? Thanks
  20. Darned weather. I didn't manage to get to the show the last 2 years and was looking forward to this one.....but......due to weather etc I wont be able to go so my full weekend tickets available. ** London Bass Show Weekend Ticket ** Glad I hadn't booked flights and hotel in advance! For those who manage to get there I hope you all have a great time.....I'm off to build an igloo instead
  21. Sometimes it can be a problem with the WIDTH of the nut slot. If the original gauge were a snug fit and then you fit thicker strings they wouldn't sit far enough down into the nut and could cause some buzz (it would tend to be only on open strings though)
  22. Price now includes mainland UK shipping.
