1. A twin for my baby! I love these basses. They're seriously under-rated/misunderstood. Looking forward to seeing pics!
2. Oh I can hear my 55-01 going weak at the knees... Speculative PM on its way!
3. I can trade you. Have a set of 40-125 Elite Stainless Steels (yellow and blue pack) unopened and not doing anything and looking to go to a heavier gauge for downtuning.
4. One of each for me I think! Any idea when you'll actually be "opening the doors", as it were?
5. I've a hard time seeing how the US models can be so much better than the Skyline's. I LOVE my Skyline JO to bits! I've played a 55-94 next to a 55-02 and couldn't tell that much difference. The 55-94 was twice the price...
6. I nearly dropped a bollock when I heard the video clip the last owner did. Fab sounding bass. If it'd been sunburst I might have cracked!
7. Damn! It's back to haunt me again. Musn't look.... wedding to pay for.... musn't look....
8. The ticket to my first gig. Megadeth and Pantera, Ulster Hall, Belfast, '92. Signed by Dimebag Darrell (RIP) himself.
9.
Line6 Lowdown 110. I've used it for exactly the gigs you describe and it does very well. Has a good DI with speaker sim too.
I'd concur with that. If it's only as a personal monitor for small gigs why spend any more?... or is this a veiled attempt to hide a GAS hit? Go on admit it! You're among friends here! (Admittedly there's not a huge amount of volume on tap. I lean it back and it works well for me. A 1x12 won't get you much smaller/lighter than one of your 2x10 cabs anyway)
10.
just wondering if they were any good and therefore worth a punt!!???
Yes - the whole skyline series is good. I have 2 and they're my 'go to' basses.
11. I haven't played them all, but I think you'd be hard pressed to beat Celinder (I just don't know how a bass can get much better than that!)... I'm not going to recount my missed Celinder story again... sniff...
12. Hi all. I have a Boss BR Micro (+ 1Gb SD card) that I bought from mic mac moe here a while ago. It hasn't seen much use by me so I'm going to move it on. I'd like to get back what I spent on it so £80 inc postage. Cheers Ian
13. Great DI pedal. Got one myself.
14. Yeah the Tonehammer looks really good too. There were 2 for sale at the same time here not that long ago, and under your £150 budget. Worth a thought.
15. Hartke VXL Bass Attack - can be found second hand for peanuts. Great sounding pedal.
16. I have big problems with the way this is handled on basschat. I don't like the practice myself, and neither do many users, it's what ebay is for. However... maybe I should stop there. Lets just say there are double standards and some people get hammered for pointing it out (all be it in a rather unsubtle fashion). It seems to be happening more and more recently, especially since the 'scarbee' celinder debacle. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the impression I get... (having typed that I'm going to be humming the mighty, mighty bosstones all day!)

18. Good luck Matt. No matter what the outcome, it's a HOT bass!
19. Bought my Wal Custom for just over £500. I thought that was a bargain... especially considering the prices shot through the roof the following year. Got a perfectly useable westfield P-bass for £20 not that long ago. On a related topic I was asked last week about a bass for a beginner. I thought Yamaha would be a good bet for a starter - the guy cruised ebay and bought an RBX374 for a ton, which I thought was great value.
