I tried a 'setup' myself on my fender and that didn't to too well! I just have fret buzz on the first fret and can't even get harmonics out at the 5th fret due to being too low. It dosent amplify the buzz but it's not really pleasant and it sticks to the back of my mind!
I emailed alan and he talked me through what to do to when I had an issue?

The neck on that one will move instantly following a tweak and will stay there! definitely not more than 10 minutes never mind a week! I only had to tweak it once when it arrived with me and it had got used to our house...can you not do it yourself?
Cheers Andy - that simple huh? Will do some digging. Ta
Yep that's all there is to it matey, I usually round stuff down for bc though as it's a community of friends rather than a shopping environment... I always think that if something looks complicated I'm looking at it wrong and there is usually a simpler way
Don't know if it's a good idea, but I was thinking of a thingie that exists both as a serious tool and as a toy: A whole bunch of needles rest tightly against each other in a frame that they stick out from. These things can be placed on objects, and they'll then copy its profile, after which a picture of the needles taken from the side will show the profile in all its glory (in this case).
Krysh's post above matey? ...and it's a cracking idea -
Jim bought my radial doodat, v easy and pain free transaction, spot on comms and a great chap. Cheers buddy!
And what shape would people say it is. I am useless at this kinda thing but a shallow c shape fits the description for me. Thanks guys My other method included cling film and a block of butter
Shallow c would work for me too matey... -
Thought it was to get a picture on me gripping the neck. Best way to show the profile I guess Crappy photos meh
This one probably shows it best of the 3 you've got on there: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ojp8kphkjfsbc9i/20130925_163545.jpg It's tricky to show but the shape of your hand in this one kinda does the job for me? -

not sure what you've tried so far matey? mebbe post a few of your blooper reel to help? I'd possibly try an angle that comes from below the neck with the point of view just ghosting below where the nut is? -
Since the Li'l Bastard is kinda li'l, I'd suggest a smaller cab to match it with, preferably the 112 with measures: (WxHxD): ca 52x37x34 cm, and weight: ca 10 kg, or the D112, slightly larger with more low end: measures (WxHxD): ca 52x42x44 cm, and weight: ca 12 kg. Neither of them particularly expensive...

I haven't used the LB30, so I can only speak from my experience, but my Walkabout through my standard ceramic 112 gives me what I consider to be a great (edited to say beautiful) Stax-y tone and feel. The tweeterless top is biting without being sizzly, and the small box size gives it a real plummy low-mid roundness. The ceramic version is pretty sensitive too.
Thanks guys, I reckon the s112 is definitely something worth adding to my gas list! I like the upright version of it that you have too w.o.t.! They seem especially reasonably priced too!!
-
These cabs are seriously sexy! anyideas which one would do the 'ampeg b-15' sound most easily when paired with an ashdown lb30 head?
-
I'd have a search in the for sale section on here and see what recent similar stuff has gone for, also search the recently completed stuff on ebay for similar...condition will need to be comparable in any reference listings... that's all I do...am usually somewhere near the right price
GAS list update required...
it's an ever fluid list of whims and desires matey...I have wanted wireless stuff for a few years now though! List updated
Andy, the G30 is really nice, and so easy to use.
Cheers matey, now if someone could just buy all the tat I've got listed on here I can go and get me one
A cheaper / short-term option is a pedal, like one of DHA's - for example this. I find that you have to take care to set it up right, but it can fatten and warm up the sound very well. Let me know if you're interested in borrowing mine to try (I don't use it much at the moment, although I've got no desire to get rid, and can get it to Sheffield easily enough for you to try out). Martin
oo that would be very kind and most helpful matey! I'll pm you to work out the 'how'... have you tried the the vt1 or vt1-eq and which would you recommend?

So a higher power one will heat up faster yes? Which tip, standard one or a finer one? -
The photo you posted is of the DP-200 Drophead Combo and you can get those head seperately easily enough. But you wouldn't want to get that and the LB mixed up. I believe the price difference between the heads is about £1000! Here's the link to the LB on the Ashdown Website. http://ashdownmusic....ittle-Bastard-/ Paul
doh! I didn't think it looked right but that was what came up from the search on the ashdown website...the LB30 head was more what I had in mind anyway
