1. Maybe a withdrawn button rather than a delete one? Mods periodically delete completed threads anyway doncha :-)
  2. There's also no option to delete/withdraw a listing once it's posted There's a chance this might make for misleading stats in the future when you say how many items have sold compared to how many donations have been received
  3.
That's right. I've disabled it for the time being. It'll cost £1.75 and your advert will have a picture rather than a grey box in the forum index. It'll help people see what's for sale and help people shift their items! There were some preview links in post #1 but now the test site has closed so they don't work. Cheers
very reasonably priced, hopefully it's something I can switch add to the items as part of an edit (when you get it up and runnin)
  4.
Yeah, still, our hope is that people will take advantage of the gallery view option when the upload system is ready. We'll see how it goes - if nobody uses it then we'll have to re-think how the forum is financed.
Gallery view...that'd be the bit that's not working then cos I didn't see that option in there?
  5.
The image upload system is borked so I think the section is rather quiet at the moment. As soon as it's 100% ready we'll close the old section and it'll become a lively and colorful affair
Adding links to pics on flickr works fine in the new classifieds and you can still use any images you've previously uplodaded onto bc I had no trouble listing my couple of bits
  6.
Hi mate thanks for the comments. I'm sure that's possible, yes - alternatively you could post the same advert in both sections, perhaps for the time being. Cheers
It'd be a useful addition matey, I didn't want to list it all twice cos I didn't want to flood the new classifieds with 'me'...there's not much on there yet but it's growing by the minute, come on folks...embrace the change and let's run with it!
  7. I've just plopped my stuff into the new classifieds section and marked my 'for sale' threads as 'listed in new classifieds section', very simple to use, liking it so far! One question, if an item is for sale but I'd happily accept trades that's not a possible choice as it can be 'for sale' or 'for swapsies'...is this something that can be changed in the future?
  8. Listed in new classifieds sections... http://basschat.co.uk/classifieds/item/27-lakland-55-02-naturalmaple-pristine-hsc/
  9. SIT Nickel powerwound for me
  10.
Might be interested if it'll fit on a Dingwall, need to do a bit of research!
I wish you luck in your search matey!
  11.
Mr Dye. You are more than welcome to borrow the beech 5 string fretted if you're willing to pay the postage.
Awful kind of you mate, I may take you up on that once my current brood have settled in a bit
  12.
This will probably be mine later today (just waiting 'till i get home from work to transfer the money), i think this will be a great combo with my recently aquired Markbass F1. Thanks Urb!
Congrats matey!
  13. any pics matey? they always help with a sale
  14.
ish I'm coming more from the point of why would someone pick one over the other more than anything. Although I would definitely agree to the ACG feeling modern
I would choose a Letts for a fretless and an ACG for a fretted, different strengths, the Letts is a superb very organic, woody sound, perfect for fretless warmth, the ACG is sublime for clarity and punch and has a jaw dropping preamp I would really like to try an ACG fretless and a fretted Letts though to see how well each translate to the other...
  15.
Out of interest how does it compare to your ACG?
both amazing but very different beasts, ACG - super crisp and uber high quality yet still handmade, a very modern machine with star trek preamp! Letts - tactile, you just want to touch it it feels so nice under the hand, a very sensual shape for a very simple and classic approach to guitar building... does that help?
Incidentally, through the software updates we've just lost the guests/members/anonymous users count at the bottom of the home page.
....still there at the mo (in full version anyway) 154 members, 690 guests, 19 anonymous users

interestingly it looks like there are generally 4 times as many guests on here than there are members! What can guests actually see on here?
  19.
i will get some pics of mine at the weekend and stick them up.
looking forward to seeing those pics matey
p.s. Andy your bass looks amazing.
very kind of you to say so, thanks
  20.
It all depends on what people want to do for this. A venue would be an easy thing to come by it's just stuff to do etc. ooo and beer
Having never 'bass-bashed' I've no idea what kind of thing goes on, I'd imagine: - somewhere to have a gander at everyone's gear and natter about it, - some kind of 'on the day swap-shop', - mebbe a raffle, - some industry types telling us how amazing their stuff is (EAD perhaps cos they're only from Preston which is fairly close?) - some jamming opportunity?? - some local food and drink establishment (possibly the venue could be that establishment?) ...does that sound summat like?
  21.
That is one great looking bass, and great sounding no doubt.
It's a corker mate!
  22. Is there an easy mid point in Yorkshire that we can all get to within an hours drive? I guess that means Leeds then doesn't it...?
  23. Shop's vanished again boss Does this mean I'll soon be able to buy some new species of BC bitsnbobs
  24.
This is lovely. Almost as lovely as mine, even!
Praise indeed matey!
