i can do better than £300 ... squier affinity J - i just picked one up this afternoon from my local music emporium (Sound & Image in Chatham ) for 149 (Used) but apparently you can get them for 200-220 ish new - quite frankly im chuffed to pieces it luvverly and spend the £100 you would have saved towards a hartke and you cant really go wrong

looks like a potential NYJO candidate in a few years already playing well now ! how good is he going to be when the auto-pilot kicks in! definite pro drummer potentia

this one is in D but were doing it in Bflat not just once but almost every song in the set! i dont complain TOO loud to be honest as im not a singist so i guess its their prerogative

dont sing or even offer! (unless of course you want to!) i always make it quite clear at the outset that i do not sing and play at same time because of the risk of stopping breathing

i really dont understand people who claim that the wood doesnt make a difference?- i just visited my local music emporium to try out half a dozen different J's (mixture of fender and squier) - ive decided on the cheapest squier there as i like the sound from it (and the price!) but even my cat could tell the difference in tone and sound quality between them
