Is this the worst name for a bass guitar finish ever?
nige1968 replied to Eldon Tyrell's topic in Bass Guitars
Looks more like Robot Phlegm to me. I like the name(s) more than the colour or shape, sadly, but if I was buying on name alone I'd be well up for some clown vomit. Or even rainbow unicorn poo. -
They should be, but given the eight-year difference who knows what might have changed? I've owned a RW precision and a Classic Series Jazz and the only difference I could really detect was the finish.
-
Reminds me a bit of this, though is completely different
-
I think RW are lacquer and classic series are poly.

We've had this before.

OK, you can all give up the bass and go home now

Yes. And Jaco Pastorius. And Lemmy. -

That's nothing. I learned to play bass, guitar, piano and didgeridoo whiile I were still in't womb, wrote my first symphony in wax crayons by 6 months, and at 5 I played my ultra-famous paper-and-comb concerto with backing vocals by a troupe of trained colobus monkeys at the Albert Hall to an audience including the Queen, John F Kennedy, John Lennon, the Aga Khan and Shergar. At 10 I was practising 26 hours a day while busking in Times Square and made my first million playing you-hum-it-I'll-play-it to Michael Jackson (he hardly touched me btw). I married Kylie and played a duet with my other wife, Dua Lipa, before divorcing them both and moving to a Brazilian favela to get real. These days I'm so over the whole music thing, I've deliberately unlearned how to play and am now learning sitar, playing only behind my head with my feet. What's more, we never had any famous or musical types in our family. We would have got up 2 hours before going to bed in a hole in the road but it was full of fake Yorkshiremen so we had to wait. Etc -
Just checked my memory of DorA was correct and got this. One of these kids is not like the others …

Anyone have experience using one of these? As I’m rarely given any monitoring whatsoever, am considering getting one, but I’m confused by the instruction to place directly opposite the amp. Because that would mean in front of me, wouldn’t it? I am of course a modest sort, but am worried about looking daft half-hidden by a speaker.

Any way to make embedded YT vids smaller?
nige1968 replied to skankdelvar's question in Site Issues and Questions
There’s an admin option to change the size of YT embeds globally but otherwise one is SOL. https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/447597-limit-widths-of-embedded-youtube-videos/#comment-2756156 -

What is thy bidding, master? -
£200+? It's enough to make me wish I'd carried on buying records. Saw RHCP at Portsmouth Poly when they were touring Mother's Milk in 1990. Flea dressed up for the occasion in a pair of Y-fronts. Ticket price was probably less than a fiver and no binoculars needed. One of my all-time favourite gigs.

Loved Nirvana lots. It was punk, so not really about being in tune or singing audibly, more about infectiously channelling rage. The fact the guy had a knack of finding a cracking melody among workaday power chords, and on a good day had a voice that teetered magically between little-boy purity and F.U. snarl, made them worth 100 Pearl Jams. The Robert Plant it was OK to like. Saw them in Portsmouth and thought they were good. Passed up on seeing them in London a couple of years later as it seemed a long way to go. Then heard Nevermind and instantly regretted that decision. They kipped on a mate’s floor after the Portsmouth gig. Last time I saw him he was still dining out on “Nirvana cleaned my kitchen”.

It’s my understanding that the “website” is on the unit itself so you should be able to plug in and go. I guess you tried the wiki instructions already? Accessing the GUI Connect your MOD device to your PC or Mac using the USB cable which you received with your device. The operating system should recognize your unit as a network device and configure it automatically. However, this process may fail in certain Windows versions, if that is your case please check the troubleshooting page. Then open your favorite browser and navigate to: For the MOD Duo: http://modduo.local or http://192.168.51.1. For the MOD Duo X: http://modduox.local or http://192.168.51.1. For the MOD Dwarf: http://moddwarf.local or http://192.168.51.1. If you are connecting via BlueTooth, visit http://192.168.50.1.
