A guitarist friend of mine has asked me to offer this bass for sale. I think it's 1980's nice sunburst, good neck, vintage style machines (non reverse) weighs a tad over 9lbs comes with original gig bag can take to Yorbash on Sunday £400 o.n.o.? Bright ideas for removing stuff from inside a DB?

You could fit some hinges to the front so the kids can get their own toys out. -
Or you could carefully turn the bass, table down and give it a shake. I've done it once or twice but never felt completely comfortable.
If you're going to do this I suggest doing it over a bed, then if you drop the thing it shouldn't come to any harm. Just make sure there's no-one in the bed at the time! -

I contacted Yamaha to ask where I could try / buy a SLB200LTD this was their reply The SLB200LTD will be launched at Musikmesse in Frankfurt. At the moment we do not have a date as to when they will start arriving into the country however, the best thing to do for now would be to speak to your local electric strings dealer and register your interest with them. Your nearest electric strings dealer can be found at - http://yamaha-corporation.force.com/dealers/uk I'm just curious to see if it is an improvement on the original soundwise. The neck looks tasty!

Hi Geoff, I see they've improved the 'lectrics and included a passive option. I used a bridge transducer on mine so for me I'd be happier with the plain old version, never had a problem with the machines either. I think I saw a price in U.S. for over $4k!
Hi Keith. I've been following the thread on Talkbass. I agree about the gold hardware. The rest looks great! I'm still on the lookout for a decent eub and have been hoping that these will make it to the shops in the uk before too long. That said I have a feeling they will be really expensive :-(
Much as I love my Yamaha SLB100, Kolstein Travel Bass and Ampeg Baby Bass I miss the grab and go concept of the SLB200 which I let go in a trade. Whilst browsing I came accross [url="http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/strings/silentbasses/slb200ltd/?mode=model&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.uk%2Furl%3Fsa%3Dt%26amp%3Bamp%3Bsource%3Dweb%26amp%3Bamp%3Bcd%3D1%26amp%3Bamp%3Bved%3D0CCUQFjAA%26amp%3Bamp%3Burl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.yamaha.com%252Fyca%252Fpages%252Fdefault.aspx%252FSDB1456806%26amp%3Bamp%3Brct%3Dj%26amp%3Bamp%3Bq%3DSLB-200LTD%26amp%3Bamp%3Bei%3Dwyt_Te3XEMGahQfghMyVBw%26amp%3Bamp%3Busg%3DAFQjCNHd86PPZBhdk5HyR51VPo1Th8GCkw%26amp%3Bamp%3Bsig2%3DsQ-q7T5a1pYjmRqVKFtgpg&type=global"]this. I'm not too keen on the gold hardware but the rest of it looks nice!
Here's a little demo of the MB200 by the way (not sure what cab it's going through), I think a lot of people don't take them seriously because they're so small but as this shows, they're very capable little things.
I've had the MB200 for about a month now, I love it. Paired with a Wizzy 10 or two Epifani Ul110's it sounds like it should cost 2 or 3 times the price! There's plenty of power for jazz & blues gigs with drums. I've also got the MB210 which I've used on a few gigs, it sounds great with with acoustic upright, eub & jazz bass, and it's lightweight. Anyone got the MB112 yet?
Hey, I have a perfect condition, fully boxed MarkBass Little Mark 250. Great little amp that weighs nothing. I run it with an EA Wizzy 10 and it all fits in a backpack and is the perfect small gig set up. The MarkBass 250 has clarity and punch and I know there are many MarkBass fans around bass chat. For mean, the choice of this amp was weight. However, last night I used a friends Iamp Micro 300, which whilst I have heard many mixed reviews about them... And they generally seem to be far less popular that the MarkBass head, it just did it for me. So I'd be interested to trade my MarkBass for your EA. I would consider other Iamp heads, but it's only being fed into a single Wizzy 10 so I would be unlikely to look at anything much more powerful due to the cabs power handling (250w). Shep
Hey Shep, eubassix has one cheers Keith

How about getting a cheap bass and hardwiring a lead into it with a retainer, (or a knot) and just tell them "use this bass or non at all" -

I'd be more worried about my ears than the speakers. You can replace blown speakers! I think I've got one of those cables with a cut out jack, I'll have a rummage in the garage and let you know. -
