[gets coat] PS. I shall raise a stein to you and the band from Frankfurt, as that's where I'll be instead of coming to see you, tomorrow. Hope it's a killer. Phil
Yes, it nearly killed me but was a fantastic evening thanks. I thought about you whilst I was enjoying a pint of Timothy Taylor's! Hope you haven't spent too much, or maybe that would be a good thing! Let me know when you are back and I'll try and get some bass buddies to come and put fingermarks on all your lovely stock!
 2. Here's mine
 3. Just sold a combo to Clarky and had the pleasure of talking on the phone, what a nice chap! Cheers from Yorkshire Clarky

 5. My Band "The Watermelon Men" are celebrating 10 years together this Tuesday 5th April at the West Park Hotel, Harrogate HG1 1BJ We'll be playing jazz, swing, latin, blues, soul and who knows what else. The line up has changed over the years but we'll have the original and current members on stage with the return of our first ever guest, saxman Brendan Duffy. Scott Devine is hoping to make an appearance, hope to see some other basschatters there, if anyone fancies sitting in (no slapping!)

 8. Bass has been returned to owner pending sale. Turns out this is an early example and quite sought after. (should have bought it myself)
 9.
Looking for a nice piece of ebony to do something clever with a combined nut/string guide down to the string clamp way.....
What size? I may have a couple of ebony nut / saddle blanks
 10. Just sold my little used Wizzy 10 to Hector, which I'll no doubt regret, but it should get some good use in it's new home, Hectors House! What a nice chap to deal with, good coms etc. He's completely honest and trustworthy, I wouldn't hesitate to trade again with him.
 11.
Couple of bad flash camera shots of my newly acquired June 2004 Mach II (or according to one Wal blog, a Mach II/III hybrid) fretless with American walnut facings and mahogany core. Ebony board has useful side fret marker lines on it, like an Ibanez fretless I once owned. Weighs 9.4 pounds, balances very well on a strap, almost Jazz-like neck dimensions, and in immaculate condition. Sounds very like a DB on the bass/neck pickup with the tone rolled off (it has LaBella flats on it) which is what I need in my band, plus has a ton of other tonal options. Will be spending a couple of hours with this tonight as the Mrs on a girlie's night out and kids broke up from school today
Welcome to the club Clarky, nice looker looks like you've taken it to bed already, and while Mrs C is out!

 19. Bump for more pics and edit to include "Revival" in title.
 20. Once you've removed the offending articles I suggest you fill the instrument with expanding foam to prevent this sort of thing happening again.
 21. There was some interest in this lovely bass at the Yorbash yesterday, but I've returned it to it's current owner who lives close to Leeds / Bradford airport if anyone wants to see it. I'll leave the thread open.
 22. Well done Keith & Phil. Good to see Scott & Geoff and all the other guys.
 23. Are you coming to the Bash tomorrow? If so can you bring it along please
 24.
Well, I got this new from Charlie Chandlers Guitar Experience a few years back and have only used her at home, so she's in immaculate condition. It is a stunning guitar amp but too loud for home use and, as a bass player, I don't get to use the amp like it should be used - cranked. Comes with silvertone padded cover. These amps sell for £1600 new: http://www.mansons.co.uk/shopping/brands/b...er-black-tolex/ Trade for a quality fretless bass.
How about half a fretless?
I'll take your silence as a 'no' In which case, have a bump on me for an unusual and attractive bass!
Sorry Clarky, I was just about to accept your offer when I realised you'd missed a nought off
Did you get a birthday card from the Queen this morning Mr B?
'twas a telegram actually!
