1. Oops! meant to put this int' db f/s sos
 2. Just thought I'd put a link to this fretted EUB on here. I've had the pleasure of playing this bass when Matt brought it round to my house. It's unique, well built, sounds great, easy to play and comes with a gig bag. I'm tempted myself but I've overspent just lately and should be trying to move stuff on rather than buy. Don't hesitate to buy from Matt, he's a nice guy and very trustworthy!
 3. Splendid! These are great instruments but that's a real looker. Good luck with the sale
 4. I got these off Clarky last week to try as an alternative to the Fishman Full Circle which I've been using. They're both great p'ups but I've found that an Underwood works better on this bass and I'm sorted otherwise, too many p'ups to be honest so I'm putting them back on "the pickup merry go round" as Bassace calls it. would like to get back what I paid (ish) so RB1 £90 posted, TM £50 posted or both for £130 Read what Bob has to say about the Schatten I agree with Bob about it being less bassy than a Bassmax, which can be a good thing when fighting the feedback monster, I wouldn't say it was gritty, but I only tried it in the house. The TM is as Slobluesline quoted "like a Bassmax on steroids" but consider this fitted on the "G" side.
 5. Here we go again, only this time I'm buying a bass from Clarky, he's put it in the post and I haven't even sorted the mortgage for it yet.
 6.
I've considered a TB10 but it's a lot of money to lay out without trying one first and more than I'd want to pay anyway. The only used ones I've seen were inaccessible or had been altered (one with fretlines and one with side dots between the 'frets').
I've got the one with added fretlines on appro. Mixed feelings at the mo'
 7. I had the pleasure of dealing with Steve for the first time last week when he bought a pick up from me. Fast payment and good communications, deal with confidence.
For Sale Fishman Full Circle Pick Up For Double Bass. £120
Would you be interested in a trade for a K&k Golden Trinity pickup, mic & pre amp?
 11. This may help identify your thread size. Like Bob suggests go to B&Q and see which nut fits. The most common size seems to be 1/4 x 20 hope this helps
 12. Got it back today thanks Laurence.
 13.
For Sale Fishman Full Circle Pick Up For Double Bass. £120
Is it 1/4" or metric thread?
 14. Just sold Clarky a speaker and he just sold me a couple of pick-ups, what a nice guy to deal with!
 15. I believe this to be an Eb neck, which is one of the reasons I haven't played it that much, my other basses are more or less D necks, but the more I play it the less it seems to bother me.
 16.
in good nick in original box, £60 posted, paypal only or cash if picking up, cheers, Jez
That's bad timing! I'd have had this 2 days ago but I'm expecting Clarky's 2 Bassmax lookalikes in the post tomorrow. I can see me spending a few hours a/b'ing this week! good luck wi't sale Jez
 17.
I am buying these because I have to try them all. I am actually pretty happy with my strings at the mo' so drop me a pm if you would like to be next in line if they are not for me.
18. Yep, I'll give them a go please
 19.
Thanks for that! So do any of you lovely DB playing people fancy one of these - or both with a small discount
Well I was thinking of getting another Bassmax but as I've not tried either of these I may take them both. I'll get back to you after walking the mutts.
 20.
I got this recently off Mr Bassman (Keith). Its the Series III R model of the Acoustic Image Coda two-channel combo and is in immaculate condition, complete with thickly padded bag. Its absolutely superb for jazz or small groups as it is the most natural and clear sounding of any DB amp around and has a bunch of useful features for killing feedback, eliminating boom and adding chorus etc. I miss the low end thump that this delivers, especially when playing drumless gigs. I'd love to take it back but I'm overspent just now.
 21.
What tops do you run with these..?? assuming a EV match-up would be the best..but they don't come along very often..!!!
The EV ZX1 90 is a good match, very lightweight and a great sound. I used them with Yamaha Stagepas 300 or Mackie C200 and got good results
 22.
I used to do the odd gig with them and did some album tracks for them too Say hello for me Jake
Will do Jake
 23.
these work really well with a pair of SX300's as tops.. but lack of a cross over still means the tops go full range.. never thought to try them as a bass cab though! cool idea..
I used a separate crossover on occasions but they're good for beefing up any tops without.
